I’m sorry that your printer has used ink more rapidly than you’d anticipated. I can certainly see why that would be an unwelcome surprise and a poor start to ownership. I want to help you understand what’s happening with the device and remedy the problem if one exists, so I’ll offer what I hope are useful resources and information.
First, I can’t tell from your review how many pages you’ve gotten from each set of cartridges, or how that compares with their estimated page yields. I will point out, though, that some printers come with what are known as setup cartridges, which have a lower capacity than regular or XL cartridges, and less still than ones in our Instant Ink program. If you’ve used only the cartridges that came with the printer, this could explain what you’re seeing.
However, if you’ve installed replacement cartridges, the XL cartridges designed for your printer have estimated yields of 825 pages, while the regular size cartridges are expected to produce 300 to 315 pages. How cartridges perform in your own printer varies according to numerous factors, including resolution, how dry the air is and how absorbent the paper is.

I've been told it's not replaceable, and since it's out of warranty a new one just needs to be purchased. Cheap garbage that lasts just long enough to get past the warranty period, definitely won't trust an HP again.

I have never been a fan of HP for the poor quality of their products, and this Officejet just reinforced that thought. Right out of the box, the printer did not want to allow for the install of the cartridges, when I finally managed to install them (not forcing the printer in any way) the print heat slammed side to side, and the printer began throwing error codes, HP tech support was near impossible to reach, and could not offer any help but “take it back to the store” I took it back to the store all right, but exchanged it for a brother. Cannot recommend this or any HP product,
