I was very surprised at the flimsy nature of this printer. I've always had HP printers and they're usually substantial. This one feels like it could break at any moment everything is really cheap plastic and the way they put the control buttons on the paper supply area at the base front was very poorly done. First of all that whole paper area sticks out and seems to make the printer unnecessarily larger in its footprint. If your finger slipped even a little you were going to be choosing 99 copies instead of one. One of my biggest issues was set up and use. It seemed to rely heavily on using your phone or whatever device you set it up on. I'm used to setting up Wi-Fi and all of that right from the little panel. I returned it and got a better HP model the 3101sdw that ironically cost less money and was much better.

It has all the features I need/wanted and is fairly priced. However, the necessity of having an HP account and being connected to the internet ruins it for me. This will likely be my last HP printer. That being said, if you are okay with those requirements, and sadly I think most people are, it will most likely serve you well.

I Returned it because I did not see anywhere on the box that it was only a black & white printer. If it does, then it is not well notated.

Set up was easy. Easy to print & fax. Disappointed in scan and send process. Thought you could enter recipient’s Email on device—not scan, download to computer to attach message, then send. Ridiculous, too many steps! Scan is also not easy from phone app.

This printer works well but the set-up was difficult because the HP drivers available online weren't correct. I had to pay for a Geek Squad rep to help me find the right drivers to complete my printer set-up. The email I sent to HP about the problem was never answered.
