It sounds like your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro functioning as intended. If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button on the top of the camera for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the device to your network.
To reconnect a Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro to your wifi network:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi.
Tap the "Device Health" tile.
Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app.

Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

Hello JamesR,

As of April 10th, 2018, the Ring app will no longer function on Windows Mobile devices. The Ring app will continue to function on Windows desktops, laptops, and tablets running Windows 10 Fall Creator's Update (version 1709) or newer. New Ring device setups must be done on a mobile device running Android or iOS.

This ensures that you have the peace of mind that you purchased your Ring security Floodlight Wired Pro for. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information and insight into how the motion detection system works on your device.


The floodlights on your Floodlight Cam are operated by passive infrared heat detection and have a radius of 270 degrees. The camera unit on your Floodlight Cam notifies you of movement within the camera’s field of view and has a range of 140 degrees. As a result, there will be times when something outside the range of the camera activates the lights. We are pleased to hear our customer service team was able to get you a working device. While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every ring, motion, and live view event for up to 180 days (US) for as low as $3.99 per month. You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone, as well as have access to the Live View feature.
