Dont bother with the new warranty

This review isnt for the item, its for the best buy warranty. They changed the wording between when i bought it and when i needed to use it and instead of replacing the item because it had a cracked screen they gave the plmobey back i paid for the item, which is another thing, they claimed it was on sale for 140 and nintendo products never go on sale. The people at my location were amazing. They argued for me as high as they could and when they were stonewalled they offered me what they could. I did not buy the warranty again. As for the device itself, my kids love it. Be careful with the charging port, it tends to come lose, and its an electronic, so dont leave it where it could get stepped on or wet... aside from that it works great, companies are bad, not the product.

Perfect for On-the-Go: My kids love taking the Switch Lite everywhere! Its lightweight, compact design makes it super easy to bring along for car rides, trips, or just playing around the house. Kid-Friendly: It’s durable enough to handle the rough-and-tumble life of being a kid’s device. The controls are intuitive, and the games keep them entertained for hours. Great Game Library: With a huge library of fun and engaging games, there’s something for everyone, from adventure games to educational ones.

I bought one for my almost 8 year old son recently. He loves it. Nintendo still makes the best consoles. I've been a Nintendo fan since 1989.

Affordable and Fun: The Perfect Portable Gaming

The Nintendo Switch Lite in Turquoise is a fantastic handheld gaming console that’s perfect for gaming on the go. Its lightweight design and comfortable grip make it easy to use for extended periods, and the vibrant turquoise color stands out. While it doesn’t support TV docking or have detachable Joy-Cons, it’s ideal for anyone who prefers handheld gaming. The 32GB storage is a bit limited, but adding a microSD card solves that issue. Overall, it’s a solid, affordable option for portable gaming.

We have one of the original Nintendo Switch consols. With kiddos heading in opposite directions for college, they asked for a 2nd consol so they could both continue to play Nintendo in dorms/apartments. The Switch Lite was the perfect solution given its affordability and portability - especially for cramped dorm spaces. We know the newer Switch is on the market, but this one fits our needs just fine.

I love it, awesome gaming system, lite and compact. It takes a while before the battery dies and I play a lot of Animal Crossing. It gives me straight 3 - 3.5 hrs of game time without a break. For the price it’s not bad, I wish it was a little more less than $200. I love the turquoise color. The way it was built though was thin there’s not enough grip in the back I had to buy a clear case that has grip on it so it’s easy for me to hold it especially when I play for a long time.

Not much of a gamer, but, like many during the stay at home order, I purchased it to play Animal Crossing. It didn't take too long for me to get used to the controls. It's pretty ergonomic for me, the screen is a decent size, and the battery lasts a while until I have to charge. The color makes me happy as well! I will have to get a micro sd if I want to get more games, though.

You don’t need anymore opinions, you probably have done your research already, if you don’t care about docked and want to save a dime then this is an option, but it’s important that you know that joycon drift can happen on this console, so I highly recommend you get the insurance. The thing about the switch lite is that it has alot of color and flavor and to me that is what makes the Switch line so fun, the joycon colors etc etc, but just really keep in mind the limitations because you might regret not spending a bit more for the regular switch or even the OLED switch, the OLED would probably be the best in terms of handheld experience. Imo the OLED is very nice, massive screen but I still really enjoy the switch lite, it’s more portable (I say none of them are truly portable since they aren’t “pocketable” unless you don’t mind a slab sticking out of your pocket) and again it is fun and has more color plus it is cheaper but it’s just something to keep in mind. If it wasn’t clear I have all three, I only go out with my switch lite (excluding travel/ sleepovers because of dock) and only because I want to protect the more expensive consoles, I don’t want them to break or have them stolen, but I genuinely love the lite the most because of its fun design, its more portable, it’s color and the D-pad. Just get insurance if you don’t want to fix joycon drift or plan to take this everywhere with you, AND GET A SCREEN PROTECTOR (applies to all Nintendo Switches).

I’ve had a lot of fun playing with the Switch. It’s perfect for someone like me who’s a pretty casual gamer but also had delusions of being with the cool kids— only we’re all in our thirties and Animal Crossing is more available than therapy during a pandemic. The Switch has helped me get through this quarantine and I really like it. The battery life is superb and the colors are great. The screen is big enough for me and I love how easy it was to learn the controls.

My son's purchased this Nintendo Switch for me as a present. I use my ipad for many of my games, but it is big to travel with. This is just the right size and fits in my package without weighing it down. I am not a heavy gamer, but I like to use it to relax and take my mind off of work, etc. Battery has a pretty good life. I only have 1 game so far and plan on looking at a few more. I think it's a great gift...a little pricey but so is everything else.

Perfect for a hand handheld only experience, I personally love the color finding it closer to the original GameCube than actually blue. The lack of vibration is a bummer though as well as the lack of any ability to connect it to a TV (even if you get a dock it won’t work) so if you are only wanting a portable only system this is perfect. I would suggest getting a screen protector though and maybe a carrying case.
