You get so much bang for the buck (well I did buy it on sale for $45). The Show models of the Echo are the only ones you should buy as the video screen adds so much. My wife and I rely so much on our various Echo’s and this one is in our bedroom and gets lots of use. Amazon has continuously improved Alexa’s abilities so the device is just getting better and better.

I have had the 1st Gen of the Echo show for more than 2 years. And I am really satisfied. This new 2nd Gen has some improvements the main I can notice, its camera is way better. It is also faster to wake up. I also noticed it doesn't get as warm as the old one. For me the previous was good enough, this one it's even better. Final comment: this even was cheaper.

I'd never had one before so i was super impressed initially, then something happened after it updated and i wasnt able to use it for months. It was always ignoring my commands despite reboots and wiping the memory. This past month it finally updated again and now its back to working. Perfect. I use it mostly for workouts, to operate my microwave and alarms and music.

This is my 2nd Echo Show 5. I've had the first for 3 years and like it so much, I bought another went it went on sale. Even if you use it for nothing more than an alarm clock, the convenience is worth the price. Instead of fumbling with dials and buttons, just speak the wake-up time. Of course, it does much more.
