I replaced an older Tab 8 with this device and did not notice they removed an important option. I give it a good rating because it functions well as a tab, refresh rate, processor speed, 64gb internal storage but why in the world would Samsung only include SILENCE or SOUND for this device. If you're a at meeting and need to put your device on vibrate YOU CAN'T! Turning off all sounds is akin to turning off your alerts. If you use your Tab for work you know what I am talking about, you can put your phone on vibrate but not your tab? It makes no sense. Apparently the only A7 Lite that has the feature is the CDMA enabled version which is thru Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile or buy it from Amazon unlocked which is buyers roulette. So just be warned before you buy, but if that feature is not important to you then this is a great bargain for a Tab especially if you have a Samsung phone that has seamless integration.

Great cheap tablet

At this price point this is the perfect tablet for me. I'm retired and this is my first tablet. I wanted something in between my Ubuntu laptop and my Android phone. I bought it to use in the kitchen for recipes and watching streaming shows while I'm cooking etc. I didn't want a big expensive tablet for that. I've been using it for everything that I use my phone for. It's not quite as fast as my Google Pixel 3A. Facebook lags a little bit while scrolling for example. I can open a lot of tabs in Chrome without any problem but scrolling is a little jerky in that case. I installed a Spigen screen protector and have no issues with sensitivity loss. The screen is a fingerprint magnet so you definitely need an easy to clean protector. I love the headphone jack. It actually drives my 32 ohm Beyerdynamic headphones to a powerful volume (I need an amp to use them with my phone). I wear glasses but face recognition has been mostly fine. It does seem position dependent. I seem to have have the camera level to my face for it to work the best. Sometimes it actually works in the dark and that impressed me (I don't expect it to work in the dark so if it does it's a bonus). This would make a great second tablet, or even a good main tablet for retired people like me who don't multitask or expect to game on it. I don't play anything more involved than solitaire myself, from a graphics performance... The screen isn't as pretty as the one in my Google Pixel phone. But it's a cheap tablet for 129 on sale and that makes it just fine for what it is. I love this thing. Battery life has actually been really decent too. Definitely recommend.
