Picture was very good for 40" (but only after calibration, which I am thankful was possible). Easy to configure personal subscriptions. Negatives: Many The inherent audio is poor (due to speaker placement and size). This became unacceptable because soundbar connection (a) did not work via optical and (b) 3.5mm connection causes audio cut outs, no matter the source (cable, USB, streaming). I could duplicate and diagnose based on my own video files (as I could tweak/replace audio codecs of streams) but I have no such control of Cable/Streaming sources. Too few HDMI connectors (only 2), especially if 1 is necessary for soundbar. USB file interface only displays a limited number of directories/files (in any directory), and there is extremely limited control of video playback via USB. Surprisingly amateurish for a "smart" TV. The "smart" features were ultimately "too smart". The native over-the-net feature delays power-on (think: old CRT warm-up period, or antenna tuning time to switch between markets) and I personally found it highly annoying to be greeted by the native VIZIO app whenever turning on the TV. Despite updating firmware, I found the device to be using my network to further update & communicate much more often than I would have expected. The totally busy smart-ness of the TV was not commensurate with the USB interface. Based only on the TV smart-ness and the amateurish USB interface I won't consider Vizio TV in the future.

It has a beautiful picture but I was really disappointed there is no Bluetooth capability so I could not pair a sound bar. So that meant multiple remotes and confusing for an elderly person to use that was also learning wifi based tv. Ended up unplugging the sound bar and using the crappy tv speaker.
