Solid overall robot vacuum. Does an adequate job and makes it where we don't have to sweep near as much. Easy to setup and get it going around the house. Does sometimes get jammed with dog hair in the rollers, but not to bad.

Great device and easy to use. App is very intuitive and helps reduce time spent cleaning up around the house.

Love the app, cleans well, takes pictures and avoids obstacles (except those low to the ground that it may mistake as a rug - like a dogs lick mat or the “snow” under the tree).

The iRobot J7 is a wonderful robot to have working around the house. It’s one of iRobots smartest vacuums and has a lot of talent when it comes to cleaning the house thoroughly, and precisely. I really do love this robot. But, let me just say this, because there is more to this story. I do have a Shark. I own the Vertex and that vacuum is the BEST vacuum I’ve ever owned!!! It does anything and everything I need and want. But during the week, however, between a dog, cooking and having guests over, I maybe am able to vacuum once. If I’m lucky. I do have a smaller house, but I have a lot of furniture and dog toys everywhere all the time. And the J7, at least mine, which I’ve named R, manages to get around to all of it. The biggest feature I like about this robot is the no go zones and cleaning zones that can be set up in iRobot’s app. It works amazingly. For example, I don’t like R going anywhere near water. So I have my entire bathroom blocked off. R also takes pictures of anything it sees that can potentially be a obstacle (like dog toys) and sends it to my phone where I can decide if it’s temporary or if it’s a space in my house where I don’t want R to go. Setting up times when I want R to clean is also helpful, as I can be at work doing my thing, and R can be at home doing it’s thing. The self-emptying bin is also a huge plus. It does as the name suggests and I would not recommend buying this vacuum with out it. R also will get updates over time to improve it’s avoidance skills and receive more features. So it’s constantly getting better. As for downsides, I really haven’t had anything to complain about. Most of the reviews I see seem to rely on this vacuum for all the vacuuming. Disclaimer: You CANNOT take iRobot seriously when they say you don’t need to worry about vacuuming for months at a time! That’s just not true and silly to believe. However, I won’t say that there’s no truth to this. R can clean pretty good. And although R can’t replace my Shark, which it’s not supposed to, at least I have another helping hand to keep up with the cleaning throughout the week. Or until I can do my normal vacuuming. I also feel that since I’ve had R, my allergies have been much better as there isn’t dirt being kicked back up in the air when my dog, or us humans are walking around. The biggest downside that I can think of would be the price. I did get the robot on sale for $200 off on Cyber Monday. But for normally being $850, that seems to be a lot, and I would not have gotten it if it weren’t for the savings. Overall, I’m very glad I got R. It works does work great and was designed very well. The band has had many years of experience with robots and seems to know what they are doing when it comes to this area of expertise. The only thing I can suggest is weigh whether you need it or not. What is your situation? Would it benefit you to have it? To own a robot vacuum you need to take a lot of things into consideration. I hope this review will help you decide!

Works better than any robot vacuum ive had in the past

Gift for my wife who love to use this vacuum while we are out.

I’ve had this vacuum for about a 8 months. I love having a Roomba with pets and excessive dog hair. I did have to have it replaced by Best Buy once because it stopped communicating with the base but with Total Tech it was a simple process of getting a new one.

It has been my little handy helper. It gets to places where I can’t. Reliable and user friendly. Best Mother’s Day gift ever.

Perfect vacuuming machine! I don’t need mop. Simple is the best for me. Easy to use and clean dust by itself. Price is great.

Tore my left quad tendon in March, and I'm responsible for most of the heavy (vacuuming/moping, etc.) housework duties... oh, we also added a 'fur-shedding' cat to our household, a year prior. Purchasing a Roomba was something I resisted before, so after doing a bit of research, I realized that the J7+ is rated one the top 3 choices of advanced robot vacuum tech. After mapping and programming cleaning cycles, this amazing robot vacuum became my next best friend. I can't believe how efficient it is: the app shares comments about maximizing its cleaning ability, provides full maps of the 1st floor, (where it's located) updates on status of filters/brushes... and more! The J7+ is perfect for the household on the go, (or mend) and I can literally state that it has been a life/stress saver from day one!

The Roomba is great so far. We've not set it up with the wifi yet, but it does a fine job of cleaning dirt and debris from our wood floors. It's fun to watch as well, as it tries to go around chairs and other obstacles. Saves us some time, which is the reason we made the purchase.

I love our little Roomba! It’s like having a robot pet… that cleans! There are occasions in which the Roomba might get stuck behind chair legs or in corners, but that’s only because it tries so hard to clean as many places as it can reach, which is a good thing. It does a great job of avoiding picking up things like cords and shoe laces. Make sure you check it weekly for any lint or hair in the moving parts, and clean it out. Follow the basic maintenance guidelines on the app and on YouTube, and this little thing will not disappoint you! Pricy but I 100% recommend!

Have a roomba s9 as well, and this j7+ hands down i prefer. With its amazing obstacle avoidance with the camera on the front, i never come home to a stuck robot. Not once since i bought it 2 months ago. The s9 was constantly getting stuck. That now is on the level of the house that has less regular obstructions. The J7 may not have as wide of brush roll, it may have less powerful suction, but the performance from alot of reviewers show thats not a real hinderence. Also, what go is better performance if the s9 gets stuck all the time and completes less than 50% of jobs. We have pets with toys that was the main cupleret for getting the robot stuck. Not anymore. Highly recomend. And at the 600 sale price its a no brainer.
