Both machines have a variety of setting for different loads and clothes. Both come with timers that estimate how long it will take to complete their cycles and makes it incredibly easy to use.

Posted .We'd like to help you with your dryer taking too long to dry. We recommend clean lint filter before each load and check to see if your circuit breaker is tripped or a fuse is blown, if needed, replace the fuses or reset circuit breakers for 3 to 5 minutes. We appreciate you rating this beautiful dryer. Our apologies to hear that your clothes were not drying and that you needed an exchange. When clothes are taking a long time to dry or do not seem to be drying, the below troubleshooting tips can correct the problem. Venting:
Using the proper venting material and making sure the vent ductwork is the proper length is very important to the operation of a dryer. GE Appliances recommends the use of a solid metal vent pipe 4" in diameter for adequate operation. 4" diameter flexible metal venting may be used but will increase the drying time. GE Appliances does not recommend the use of flexible, white, plastic vent pipe. Cleaning and Operation:
Remove and clean the lint filter each time it is used. The filter can be washed with warm soapy water to remove fabric softener residue from the screen.
Check the household fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the dryer. Make sure they are not burned out or tripped.
There may be too many items in the dryer. Only dry one wash load at a time. We hope this information helps. Let us know if you need anything. Mike@GEA

The app is a little limited but you do know when close are about done and tracking loads and dryer sheets. We replaced a top end LG dryer that kept giving us error codes on every load. LG claimed it was our vent in a new house. This dryer has done 91 loads without a single error.
