So, if you are expecting android operating system like on Android phones, it is a little different even though you can download apps. Now, with that all the way? I will say that this is a great chromebook. Could not ask for any better. I knew what this is going into it as my daughter owns the slightly smaller version. I also own a Samsung S23 Ultra phone, and a windows OS laptop high power computer. They all serve their purpose.

Pros: Fantastic convertible chromebook with good screen size and build quality. Decent enough CPU and GPU to power through most tasks, particularly for multi-tasking with zoom and other apps. Inclusion of keyboard cover at the price $449 on sale is fantastic when compared to other similar devices. 8gb ram and 128gb ssd is better than 4gb ram and 64gb ssd on Lenovo's own website (4gb is certain cheaper). Cons Still on Android 9, no idea when it will get upgraded to Android 11. When opening from keyboard cover, either after it awakes from sleep or just turns on the screen (can change this in power settings), sometimes the screen would not respond to touch and would require keyboard to enter password or pin. Reboot to fix this. When connected to wifi, apps would not download from play store even though browsing the web was fine. Reboot fixed this and downloads then automatically queued up. Unclear if this is a software issue. I used this as a supplement to my work laptop and wanted to use it for outlook, word and excel. Light use. The chromebook comes with a version of outlook, but not one with an official outlook icon. It does not appear that outlook can be updated via playstore. MS has stopped supporting Office for chromebooks and has required that people use their web version. It appears that Lenovo did this half way w/ Outlook as an app but not the rest. This was an issue for me and might be an issue for you as well. I'm not sure how to edit Word docs if I don't have wifi, at least Google supports an offline version of the software. I think this is a good product for many use cases, but it didn't meet my needs.

I enjoy being able to easily move from having a laptop setup to a tablet for moving around seamlessly. Having the touchscreen function really makes it easy when I'm multitasking and not wanting to constantly move a mouse around. All around a great upgrade over my last Chromebook

We're sorry to hear that you ran into this problem with your Chromebook. To address the issue mentioned, try doing a hardware reset (visit the following link to learn how to do so: https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/3227606?hl=en&sjid=11168473644130281663-NA), which reboots the embedded controller that manages various system components.
If this doesn't resolve your issue, you may need to factory reset your Chromebook, which you can learn more about towards the bottom of the webpage tied to the previously embedded link. So long as your Chromebook is backed up and the data is tied to the same Google account you used to setup your Chromebook, you can restore your system from a backup point to prevent you having to go through the full setup process again or having to make setting adjustments and customizations again.
