It is nice to have the mic built in especially if buying for kids. So thry don’t break it off.

I used it to play NBA 2k and Call Of Duty and was not helpful at all. If you're thinking about getting this for a FPS game, I would not consider these. For NBA 2k it wouldn't be a bad purchase cause hearing does not impact your gaming. However sound quality will suffer.
