Fire OS is alright for basic everyday watching, and the workmanship is outstanding.. Both the stick and the remote. It is an Chromium OS, so running programs through its proprietary store is better than average. But it is too locked down to do anything non Amazon. Android was open source and could be tinkered with through the kernel. However, there are so many security locks on this that you are stuck with what Amazon gives. There are side apps that work one day, not the second that could be loaded through the app store .. that be a gamble though. And if you had an app one day through that app store, and then they decided to pull it, you lose your app already loaded. Spectrum TV for instance. It works well for what it does. I gave it a 4 site to the quality of the product all around. Just, if I am going to buy a mini computer for my TV, i want it do what I decide. Not what Amazon decides for me.

This is my third fire stick. All my TVs have them, I will not buy a tv without it.

This Fire TV Stick 4G is the finest of all of the Fire sticks that I have ever owned. I am glad that I made this purchase. The options and the reception and picture that it provides are optimal. I would recommend this item to everyone.

Works great and the smart tv downstairs and the regular tv upstairs. Well worth the money and it’s great to be able to get rid of Directv finally. Being able to take it anywhere is awesome.

IMHO a smart remote is the gateway to "cutting the cable". Today there are a huge number of channels and apps that can be accessed without the premium costs of cable or satellite. Since we already have a Amazon Prime membership, the Amazon Fire Stick was a logical choice for a "streaming remote". After a little getting used to, we are sold and will "cut the cable".

The Amazon Fire TV Stick works perfectly and was able to download all the apps that I wanted to.

The firestick is easy to install and operate. We bought it in order to use Sparklite Services.

The Amazon firestick works good and the remote control is nice with the controls on the face as apposed to having some functions on the side of the remote.

Works great. It now comes with a volume control which is fantastic. We can now stream content from multiple sites with ease. I cannot comment about the 4K feature since we do not have a 4K TV.

It's very easy to set it up to the internet and there is a quick menu to start the app.

Faster than cable. For us, took a while to set up. Helped to have a technical person in the home.

this is the 5th firestick i buy.i never had a problem with any of them,if u like crisp and clear picture get this ,this is all you need no fuzz ,no overpaying for apple.

Excellent item that to utilize instead of cable!!! The features are awesome!!! The remote works using your voice, so it easily keeps you on top of all of your favorite shows!!!

Make sure you get a Roku that can control everything, TV, soundbar or receiver. This one is very comprehensive and allows you to control different features in the TV like input not just power and volume. Easy setup exactly what we wanted. Returned another Roku that didn’t have all of the remote features. Thanks for an easy return process.

Although I didn't want to get yet another add-on (our TV doesn't allow us to add other apps directly to it), this was the only way for us to get Disney+. Easy to connect and easy to use. Connection is great.

We have purchased 16 in total for our home and our family’s. Great product and easy to use. Everyone is pleased and it’s a must have in everyone’s home. Great present to give and it keeps giving.

Our Roku devices quit working when we upgraded internet service and we couldn't get needed support to solve the issue. This Fire TV device replaced the Roku with faster and easier to use services.
