The one thing that isn't obvious, might be an issue for your installation, and never appears in pictures of the device, is that the Fire Stick needs separate AC power - it doesn't simply draw power from the HDMI connection.

Cut the string with the cable company for TV.

When you stumble, get back up try to understand how to use it again. If you have a very tech savvy family member, ask for help on how to understand and use it. Once you get familiar with using it, you will like it.
