I always loved Canon printers. The printer I was replacing with this one was a Canon PIXMA MG6220 I got in Feb 2013. I got 11 years of great service then suddenly 2 weeks ago it died and I got an error code that told me to contact support for help, but Canon no longer supports that printer. I needed a printer immediately, I'm a retired accountant but still enjoying doing income. taxes for us, our daughters and their families and some friends at no charge just to keep my mind going. I did some searching, saw that BestBuy had these in stock and went out and bought one the next day. It's a Canon and I trusted the brand name but it was an extremely bad decision on my part. I have never, ever, had printing problems like I did with this junk. After downloading the software and finally getting it set up it was very difficult to print. I could print single sheet documents but it would sometimes take a couple of minutes to start and it would not print any mutli-page PDF documents such as a tax return. When I wanted to scan some documents I couldn't find how to do it on the scanner itself, the display screen is horribly small and difficult to read, and the instruction manual I downloaded only included detailed instruction for Mac usage. Totally useless manual. I Googled how to scan on this printer and was amazed to find s that I needed to download an app from Canon to my phone to send commands to the printer. What?!?! Why do I need to do all that nonsense instead of just being able to push a button. As loyal and satisfied as I am on being a Canon customer I find no redeeming qualities for this junk and highly recommend you stay away from it. You will just be causing yourself needless aggravation.

Great Printer at a great cost. Easy to set up as well.

This printer has been a complete nightmare from day one. Setup is overly complicated and glitchy — it got stuck in endless “follow instructions on your computer” mode and refused to connect to Wi-Fi no matter how many times I followed the manual or used Canon’s setup tools. Even after finally getting it recognized by my computer, it wouldn’t print. The display stays frozen, and support instructions are useless. I’ve wasted hours just trying to get a simple page to print. This experience has been incredibly frustrating — I regret this purchase and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

scans well however i was able to get wi fi to the printer but i cant get it from the printer to the lap top so i ant print remotely

Thought the printer was gonna be great but it wasn't. I've been loyal to the Canon brand since I worked tech support for them a VERY long time ago. This will be my last Canon. My last one gave me a "i am dead" error, can't remember the code but absolutely nothing can be done about it. This one started to print the black all misaligned (color was perfect) after about a year (post warranty) tried print head alignment (auto and manual) - the manual head alignment is almost impossible to understand the instructions. did tons of cleanings wasting paper and ink with test prints and cleanings. Tried several different cartridges and then it just refused to print black and the paper feeder started to jam every single time. All i can say is Thank you Best Buy, I am glad i purchased the 4yr product protection plan. Long story short but i received the exact same model as a replacement so i'll be expecting the same to happen again some time down the road.

Don’t get me wrong it works Ok, but it jams up a lot. Don’t understand all the paper draws but it works.

Can't wait to use this. Gotta be better than my current one.

It is a wonderful product at a very affordable price and it does everything it advertises it does. I am very happy with it.

Easy to set up and works well! So far no issues with it.

Prints a little slow and quality is not that good but for the price you really can’t complain.

Works great, does shut off completely when not in use and the print incoming doesn’t awake.

Works as expected, no complaints. But i do prefer printers with print heads on the cartridges themselves. That way every time you replace the ink cartridge you are also replacing the print head.

I don’t know if this a Canon issue or I got a dud but this is the worst printer I’ve ever experienced. All I wanted was a simple,no frills photo printer and this seemed like it fit the bill and had excellent reviews. This printer goes through ink like nothing I’ve ever seen. Just from the money I’ve spent in toner, I would’ve been better served getting a laser printer. For what it’s worth, I am skilled at using printers & software regularly..but this printer doesn’t recognize any types of changes made from the app, nor the actual printer and seems to have a mind of its own.
