    I've used HP printers exclusively for decades so when my faithful HP8715 developed problems I chose the 7802 to take advantage of the ink tank feature. As a total tech customer I called on a Geek squad setup. After two cancelled setups the Geek Squad determined the printer was defective, control panel didn't work. Got a replacement printer but Geek Squad kept cancelling appointments. I finally had to hire an outside service to set it up. Then Best Buy informed me that my Total Tech extended warranty only applied to the original printer. I've used Geek Squad for years and been delighted with the service until now. I use my computer daily and can't afford month-long disruptions in service.

    Prints a little on the slow side. Paper tray does not keep paper in place. You have to continually adjust positioning of paper. Sometimes goes offline. Fairly expensive to have these issues. Especially the poor quality of the paper tray

    I like the ink tank design, but wanted a better duplex copying using paper feeder like my previous cartridge based OfficeJet that this replaced. Duplex printing works fine. Fax works fine, but must use HP Smart software. I don’t like the 2 line touch panel design on the top of this unit. I constantly get notifications of errors when printing, but have no actual errors. Seems like low memory or poor memory management. I also have had the paper output tray fall apart already. I feel this is isn’t the best HP can do for it’s customers. Overall, I wouldn’t buy this printer again.

    I give it three stars as it works well, no better no worse than my previous HP printer/fax. It does not get higher marks as I wish I had known it cannot sit idle for extended periods as the ink will dry out. Not helpful for someone who travels.
