I finally bit the bullet and joined the Dyson family! This is a great asset to tile floors (and grandkids). Thanks Dyson, I love my new cleaning buddy.

I’ve got 2 cats and maybe 500 sq. ft. of carpet to vacuum. With the exception of one thing, I LOVE my new Dyson. In no particular order – no cord – this may be my favorite thing – I just buzz all over. Super easy. It holds a good charge for me. I can vacuum 3 times before having to charge (maybe 500 sq ft of carpet?). Oh another SIGNIFICANT benefit ---I’m never going to have to flip my couch or move mattresses to get under couch/bed again. It goes under my dresser. Really like this feature. Cleaning is easy. Best to clean after every use if you want to get a good lifetime out of the product. I know cleaning sux, but it must be done. There is an app you can put on your phone – I have found this to be very very helpful. This is my problem issue. Yes, this vacuum is very lightweight. I too, like this feature. But, all the weight is contained right below the trigger – it’s the battery. I’ve got moderately severe arthritis in my hands and fingers. Three surgeries on thumbs alone. They’re weak. Hands, fingers, thumbs. I’ve also got very small hands. – it’s a challenge and I wish I did not have to “pull the trigger” the entire time. The battery is below the trigger; this is the heaviest part of the machine – so if you have arthritis in your hands/fingers and have small hands, this is going to be an issue for sure. I wear bicycle gloves for added padding and I rest regularly.

This was the best purchase for black friday and it was a great deal. It's lightweight and easy-to-use. It can reach those hard to get to spots.

Bought to replace an older model whose battery had died. This has more power and still is light weight, easy to use.

Dyson products suck. They suck better than any other comparable product on the market. Some vacuums simply sit around, collecting dust, which is fine, but if you want something that really sucks, get a Dyson. Not only will it collect dust, but it will make short work of cat hair, litter than your cat leaves on the floor because it can't be bothered to swipe away from the entrance of the litter box, those mysterious pieces of plastic that you find on the kitchen tile that the cat swears just appear at night, confetti that is lodged into the cushions of your couch and manages to find its way to your carpet as well as the run-of-the-mill dirt trail from the front door to wherever the offending party who didn't remove their shoes lands.

I was surprised and pleased with the power of this vacuum. It is well made and feels good in your hand to use. Pleased with all the attachments. A little glitch in opening to clean the canister but finally figured it out. Worth the extra money for this product.

Lots of power, light weight, picks up dog hair and other "dirt" great on hardwoods, tile and carpet. It is not cheap, but it runs on high power for over 20 minutes and who wants to vacuum over 20 minutes at a time. Go to tool when we see something on the floor.

Doesn’t really work on my rug. Picks up good on my wooded flooring. Do wish the battery lasted a little longer.

I didn’t realize I could love a vacuum was much as I love this one. It’s light, cordless, quiet, and has plenty of detachable heads.

Been going strong 2 years now. Picks up more hair/dirt then any vacuum I've used before. Battery is still going strong and is easy to disassemble for cleaning.

The Dyson V8 is a great vacuum! We love how powerful the suction is, how easy it is to maneuver around tight spaces and obstacles, and how versatile it is with the many included attachments. It has the right tool for any job! The only downsides are that you have to hold down a trigger button continuously in order to run the unit, which can be a literal pain after a while, and battery life is not super long when its in high suction mode.

I was skeptical about this vacuum but gave it a try anyway. I’ve been a Shark fan for years and still own a Shark Rotator. I went back and forth on deciding between this older model v8 and the newer (and more expensive) models v10 and v11 . I am in LOVE with this vacuum! I liked it from day one, but the more I use it the more I am impressed all over again lol. I’ve had it 3 months now and vacuum at least once per day, usually twice. It’s so fast and easy to do with this little 5.5 pound vacuum! I am so glad I didn’t spend more for the newer model. I’m sure the newer ones are great, but this little v8 suits my needs perfectly and at an affordable price. I thought I would hate having to hold the trigger. I don’t. It is so responsive and powers on so easy that I don’t even notice it. It’s built into the handle right where your finger rests anyway. I also thought the battery would not be enough power to complete the job since I am a bit obsessive with my cleaning. I was wrong. I almost never run out of battery. Only when I get carried away or want to vacuum one of our vehicles right after vacuuming the whole house. My house is only 1300 sq ft on the main level with a full basement. I can do the whole house plus the carpeted basement stairs and my furniture (I have a dog) before running out of battery. And it charges pretty fast. Within about 3 hrs there is a full charge. I love how easy it is to use and the light weight of the vacuum. It is seriously awesome! After a few weeks of purchasing this animal version, I did purchase the fuzzy roller separately on Amazon for another $100. I find the fuzzy roller and the brush roller (that comes with vacuum) perform equally well on hard floors in my opinion. On carpet, the brush roller is best. The fuzzy roller works fine on carpet for pet hair but doesn’t totally pull dirt and sand out as well as the brush roller does. I prefer the fuzzy roller for my solid floors as it is much quieter. But where the fuzzy roller really shines is on my furniture for removing pet hair! I don’t even use the mini powered upholstery brush as I find the fuzzy works better, and without shutting down the power if the suction becomes too strong. I use the fuzzy and brush roller heads almost exclusively. I find the other tools not really necessary and, to me, they just create clutter. The exception to that is the crevice tool. I use that occasionally with my deep cleaning. The edge cleaning with this vacuum is phenomenal, and the crevice tool is only used maybe once every other week or so to reach under the sofa or fridge to clean dust or a stray pieces of cereal. I have not used my corded vacuum since purchasing this little vacuum. We are a family of four, with one very sheddy ( is that even a word lol) dog. One of my two teens is in a wheelchair which brings in extra dirt. This little light weight vacuum is all we need, and I love not having to deal with a cord!

This vacuum is light, works amazingly well and has a number of attachments that make it very versatile. Because your not hampered by the cord while using it, vacuuming is less restricted and goes much faster. Whether it's a small spill or doing an entire room, it works great. Had it for more than 2 years of daily use and it still goes and goes.

My first Dyson and has not disappointed! I haven’t needed to give my vacuum a haircut with my thick and long hair. Impressed!

Works great, worth the price, and is lightweight. Better quality than the more expensive models and comes with attachments.

Love this vacuum!! I have a cat, so I vacuum like everyday and this one holds up! I like that it has 2 settings, so I can use more suction when in the cats room, and less throughout the rest of the house. The batter holds a good charge. I have a 3 bedroom house and I usually charge this once every 10ish days, sometimes even longer. I love that I can go from carpet to bare floor easily.
