Perhaps in some alternate universe it works as intended, but it did not work on my brand new computer. The problem started with it not downloading the installer like it was supposed to when plugged in. Apparently it's a common problem with this device, and would have been a non-issue if there had been anything like product support available, or a website where the installer could be manually downloaded. After a considerable amount of searching online I managed to find a telephone number for what passes for customer support and after an interminable amount of trying to explain the issue to a non-English speaker, received a link to a website which allegedly had the installer available for manual download. The website turned out to be useless, as there was an installer, but it was for a different product. I never did manage to get it to work. At least it was cheap, and I was only out the price and about four hours of my time.

The drivers came ready to plug and play this time.
