Does a great job of picking up German Shepherd hair. My dog sheds a lot.

Do not waste your money buying this vacuum. It does not operate well on carpet or flat, hard surfaces. Suction from the vacuum is terrible. The head falls off all the time. It is hard to stand the vacuum up after you have been vacuuming because the mechanisms just don’t operate smoothly. It is extremely heavy. While the wand suction functionality works well the hose is so rigid and in flexible that it is hard to operate just the hose itself to suck debris from corners and baseboards. I have actually pinched myself between the ridges in the hose when it retracted to go back in its holster.. this vacuum is extremely hard to maneuver. If you vacuum up tissue off the floor, forget it it will not pick it up. It will just break it in 1 million pieces and leave a bigger mess than when you started emptying the vacuum through the filter list canister is very easy but overall, I would not recommend this vacuum. In fact I want my money back. I paid over $400 for this vacuum and I’ve had way better vacuums for under $100. Dyson if you are listening, give me a call. I want my money back also because of this experience, I will not be buying anything else with your brand. Too bad because I was interested in your hair care products.

Bought to replace an Animal 2 after we had all our carpets replaced with a longer pile. The Animal 3 adjusts to accommodate different carpet pile lengths and does a great job. Very happy with it!

This vac is so strong on suction floor mode that it gets stuck to flooring, and thats a good thing to me. It also make hairy situations a breeze to get to and the mobility is just insane. Got to try this for yourself....unbelieveable.

I have a dog with allergies and dander. This helps a lot around my home for hardwood floors and carpet. I’d try it out on him if he wasn’t scared of it I bet it’d help him a lot too but his loss.

Love love love this sweeper. Dyson suction on this sweeper is amazing, I have 4 dogs and a cat , and this sweeper keeps our house spotless.

I am a long time Dyson customer. Nobody does vacuums as well. I bought this as a gift for my mother, as her Dyson was stolen after Hurricane Michael destroyed her home. Overall, do suggest. Corded dyson's have more suction power than cordless.

The vacuum cleans 2 swipes maximum and my floors are carpet are clean. Don’t walk run!

I bought this to replace a 10 year old Yellow Ball Dyson. Very similar with the expected modern upgrades. More compact & a bit lighter in the hand yet not a downsized version of my previous Dyson. Easy to use with incredible pick up power. The beater bar rake is a very nice upgrade as is the variable surface switch on the beater bar head. Not perfect but does alleviate some headaches in terms of changing surfaces such as from heavy shag to lighter carpet to hard floors. Well worth the price in my opinion. Check back here in another 10 years to see how it all holds up:)!

I had and Animal 2 for 7 years with not one issue, finally the parts started to fall appart. So purchased this new version which has a smaller head so it goes in small spaces like around toilets and is much quieter. The hair removal features in head is a great innovation, so no need to clean brush head. Great work Dyson...customer for life.

The animal ball works great. We have multiple animals and after we vacum there doesnt seem to be any hair on the floor.

The Dyson is great, it’s heavier then my shark was but seems to be made well, clean amazing my and overall I’m happy with it

Upgraded from our original ball and improvements at every front. We recently got a secpnd puppy and decided to get this vacuum. Money well spent as it does everything better than the 1st dyson ball

Works very well with dog hair we have a long hair german shepherd and the power head picks it up great and the brushes don’t get tangled up with hair like are older Dyson animal did.I would recommend this model for anyone who has pets!

Does a good job. When you’re purchasing note that the cord doesn’t retract so it will involve you winding and winding around two catches to put it away every time - just like in 1980. Other than that annoying flashback, it’s a really great cleaner.

Giving up on robot vacuum’s that tend to get stuck everywhere and came back to the old fashioned way. This vacuum really SUCKS, I mean it picks up everything and maneuvers great. Easy work!

It is amazing how much pet hair this dyson picks up with just one pass through the room. You can tell it goes really deep into the carpet just from how it handles. Best vacuum ever!

Great product. I was surprised at how clean it made my carpet. The design is awesome easy maneuverability.
