Very Heavy did not like it and I returned it for a Riccar, much happier with new purchase

This vacuum is more than I could imagine. I didn't think anything could remove the dog hair from my carpet and area rugs. I am truly impressed. I should have gone this route the first time instead of buying cheaper vacuums.

Great and improved from old model. Still lacking in one aspect though hair still gets caught in the vane even though it has a “detangling vane”. Still helps though and isn’t nearly as bad as old model.

Got this animal 3 because my animal 2 was making some weird noises after about 4 years of reliable service. Don’t think it’s as good as my old animal 2 but I’ve only had it for about a month.

I absolutely hate this vacuum! If all you want to vacuum is the floor and NEVER use the hose, then it is a good vacuum cleaner. The hose is so stiff when trying to use it that it takes two people to be able to use the hose because one person has to hold the vacuum while the other one tries to use the hose.

This is the worst vacuum I have ever purchased. It has scratched my hardwood floors on numerous occasions. My floors are ruined. I will go back to Miele. A superior vacuum.

Great suction, but very hard to maneuver. My wife did not like how hard was to move it around, so we returned it.

Sooooo disappointed in this vacuum. It’s incredibly hard to push and pull, not at all like my old Dyson. The settings can be changed, but it doesn’t help. I hate using it.

The beater bar was difficult to attach and it kept coming off at random. This was frustrating when trying clean. Then when the filter got full it started spewing dust everywhere. The filters needed to be washed and let dry for 24 hours which inconvenienced me to no end.

Brand new vacuum and a piece came out and not goin back. Poor quality. The last Dyson I had lasted 10 year

Could not be happier with this vacuum - it provides an incredible amount of suction, it has a high quality construction, and there’s many intelligent features built in that make it a joy to use. This is actually my second Dyson ball vacuum - sadly, my ex-wife took my original ;) That vacuum was amazing and am super happy to have this newer version. The construction is top-notch. Everything is tight, solid, and durable. For reference, the original I had was over 3 years old and it performed just like new after many years of using it to clean up after 2 dogs and a couple cats. This newer version actually feels a little more robust so I am sure this will last just as long if not longer. In terms of cleaning power, this could be the main reason Dyson is so popular. It provides quite of bit of suction for everything from floors to furniture. The main head on the bottom of the vacuum has 3 different modes from hard surfaces like tile and hardwood to light carpet to thicker carpet and it does a great job at picking up pet hair even with the deepest of carpets. This version of the Ball Animal 3 comes with a combination tool (nozzle and soft brush) as well as a stair tool. The stair tool has these little velour strips that helps pick up hair from carpets and that works well. If your pet (or other humans - no judgement) shed a lot hair, you may want to consider the Ball Animal 3 Extra which runs $100 more but that comes with the Pet Groom Tool as well as the Tangle-free turbine tool. I had the tangle-free turbine tool on my last Dyson and found that to be a fantastic tool for cleaning cat hair from furniture. The other thing about Dyson products are the smart features that make it super convenient and also eco-friendly. The canister for storing debris easily pops off with a single button and then a secondary button releases the bottom of the canister for emptying easily into a trash can. The hose is built right into the handle of the vacuum so there’s none of that additional hose that you have to loop around the vacuum or anything like that. It’s all integrated. In addition, there’s also eco-friendly features such as a washable filter as well as even how Dyson products are packaged. 99% of the packaging is completely recyclable. There’s a reason Dyson products are so popular and I’m super happy to add this to my other Dyson products.

Good value, hair does not get stuck. Attachments are not as great and easy to use as past dyson vacuums but otherwise works well.

Very heavy. Unless you’re only vacuuming a flat surface i don’t recommend

You can never go wrong with a Dyson. Lightweight and durable. I love having all of the convenient attachments.

Dyson Ball Animal 3 Upright Vacuum Included- vacuum, 3 accessories- nozzle and brush combo tool, stair tool and tool holder, and quick guide Set up- After unpacking the vacuum and parts, I had to refer to the guide to help with assembly. It's a few quick steps and they include pictures to assemble the parts. It's fairly easy to follow and the clicking noise lets you know the parts are in place. I had a minor issue connecting the handle to the hose because it wasn't clicking until I withdrew the handle, like I was trying to pull it all the way out to start over and then it clicked before that happened. The full manual is available online. To operate- Plug in the cord. Push the large red power button on the left. Pull the handle back and you can start vacuuming. When the handle is upright, the suction will flow through the wand so you can utilize the accessories. The button on the right is to start and stop the roller brush. There are three settings to work with different flooring. When facing the vacuum, the left position is for deep and medium pile carpets and delicate flooring. The middle position is for low pile carpets and large debris. The right position is for hard floors. My opinion- This is my fourth Dyson and my 2nd upright and this is my least favorite vacuum. I was so excited to receive this and I'm slightly disappointed. The Animal 3 is so heavy at over 17 pounds. With today's technology, I expected it to be just as light or lighter than my multiball 2 which is about 15 pounds. It definitely has the Dyson suction power you know. However, my biggest complaint vacuum is that it's really hard to push. I have a medium pile carpet and even on the left setting, there's a lot of resistance. My arm gets super tired. I have a 4000 sq. ft. house and I vacuum twice a week and I struggle to get it done. Online, it states there may be some difficulty pushing the vacuum on some flooring and to switch the setting to the left. It honestly didn't help. I've tried all 3 settings and it's still too hard to push and steer. It doesn't swivel and turn easily. It also doesn't vacuum my rugs. I'm used to running over my rugs when I do the floors to get the crumbs and dirt and I can't just push it to run over the edge and onto the rug. I'd have to lift it up to get it on there and then it just gets stuck every time. The vacuum head reminds me a lot of the Dyson stick vacuums I own. It has a nice low profile and it's a little narrow than my multiball so it fits into smaller spaces better. The canister is quite large and fits in a lot of dirt so it doesn't have to be emptied all the time. The filters are easy to access and clean. Overall, the Animal 3 is my least favorite Dyson. I wish it was lighter and easier to push and steer. Pros- 3 settings Very long cord Low profile, narrow head, fits under cabinets and through tight spaces better Great suction Cons- Very heavy Hard to steer Won't vacuum my rugs

Not happy with this purchase. It is mostly made of plastic and I don’t feel it will last very long. The suction isn’t that great either.

I had the vacuum for two days before it fell apart

I have never used a vacume that frustrates me as much as this one did. Already returned this cheap, worthless vacumme. This Dyson is nothing like the one I owned for almost 20 years. Everything about this vacume is bad. Dyson quality has gone straight into the gutter. There is nothing good to say about this machine.
