Base of the stand is metal, so you can use a magnet to hold to another metal surface. Black on one side, white on the other so you can choose a color to be visible. Typical signal strength pickup for a flat antenna. The power amplifier did help boost the signal. Worked fine when about forty miles from broadcast towers with no obstructions. Negative: Looks to be the exact same product as the Best Buy Essential which is $10 less. Probably has a UHF loop and a small VHF bar built in. When used 10 miles closer to the broadcast tower, it did not pick up a signal when there was a building in the way. Tested fine at my house, but I bought this for tailgating where it did not get the job done. Bottom line: Depends on your situation if it will work or not. Had it been in stock, I would have bought the Best Buy Essential model for $10 less to give it a try. I ended up returning it since it didn't work where I needed it to work.

It has literally opened the door to such a wide variety of channels that we don't need to add a subscription service. Mind you, we are not huge TV watchers, so it may not be enough for everyone, but it's a great start. It works much better than the cheaper versions ever did. I was able to position it well enough to never have to run over to fix it in the middle of a suspenseful scene. Love it!

Came with a long enough cord that we were able to reach the window facing the broadcast towers 40 miles away. We have a lot of trees on our property and the Insignia works great.

I never used my streaming service very much anyhow. Only to watch local channels. This digital antenna was extremely easy to set up and get going on my Samsung Smart TV. It is seamlessly integrated with my interface, so accessing the local channels it picks up is easy. It shows up like another app and shows a TV guide and everything!

After moving it to different locations and rescanning a few times, it works perfectly! I would also mention that it helps to rescan for channels every so often too. No complaints so far, but it would be nice if the cord were a little longer.

Bought 2 from Amazon due to reviews & they only picked up local ABC + some extras. Live rural & the picture & clarity is phenomenal. Antenna sits in one spot & never has to moved. Love it!
