Nice Mouse, with some room for improvement
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I typically do not like using larger style mice and generally go for more compact sizes, but I actually enjoyed using this mouse for gaming, although there are some cons I'll get to later. Most mice this size feel extra heavy, but this one feels as light as a mouse less than half its size, making it more user-friendly for gaming than other mice this size. The amount and placement of buttons (including one that you can switch out to a small or large size) give you great options for personal preferences for gaming. I'm a huge fan of the scroll wheel moving from free-flow to incremental, which happens at the push of a dedicated button just above the wheel. The RGB lighting is delightful, and a storage area below the power switch on the bottom of the device allows you to store the USB dongle for safe keeping. Tracking is superb (as is common on Logitech devices it seems), and I was able to guide the device on literally every surface i could think of or access. I didnt try distance tracking, so I cannot speak to performance in this area. On the down side, this mouse is strictly controlled through the dongle, as opposed to having Bluetooth capability, which is a limitation when compare to some of Logitech's own other wireless gaming mice that can use both a dongle and Bluetooth on any Bluetooth-capable device. The storage area underneath the mouse cannot fit the small or large button alongside the dongle, so there is high likelihood of losing the button if you carry it through other means for preferred switching of sizes between games or productivity work. The biggest issue I had overall was with the downloadable software application for the mouse. It uses the G HUB app, and the app is not intuitive at all, forcing you to go through a demo to get to the RGB controls, which are a separate set of options from the ones you can download and use on a completely different screen; Options loop around repetitively, and require that you basically click on almost every option in order to figure out where to go or what to press to do whatever you are trying to do through the app. I stumbled across how to activate saving settings directly to the device, and then stumbled across how to get to a game profile while trying to figure out how to switch the RGB settings (which appear in two different areas, the least convenient of which is where the main controls are actually located). Not sure what the design team was thinking when they slopped every menu they could think of into random locations, but it needs a TON of work. had it not been for the mouse itself being so fun to use and look at, the menu options alone would have cost this device two stars. Overall, I'd recommend the mouse to others, even if they prefer smaller mice, for both gaming and regular productivity needs, but I would certainly warn them about how disorganized the settings are through the G HUB app if they are intending to use this mouse for gaming.

Lite, fast and great looking mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech is known for quality computer peripherals and this gaming mouse is no exception. It is extremely lightweight, fast, configurable and looks great on a gaming desk with its display of moving and changing colors. The response is immediate with no lag and the mouse is configurable with the Logitech Options software. The software makes this mouse great, with options for changing the pointer speed, scrolling, wheel direction, sensitivity, smart shift and wheel mode options. There is even a Logitech Flow option to easily switch between computers by moving the mouse to the edge of a screen. While the default button configurations work well for me, the mouse can be configured to work differently with various applications. I tried a custom configuration for word processing and it is a handy tool to have if one uses a special application. The mouse charges quickly and holds a charge for several days. Connectivity requires the included dongle and does not support Bluetooth connectivity. This is designed as a gaming mouse where speed is a major consideration, so using the dongle makes perfect sense. The mouse feels great in the palm of the hand and is effortless to move and use. It looks great in a dark office with the lighting. Logitech has combined quality with flexibility and produced another great product,

Keep coming back
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is honestly the best mouse I've ever used in the past 30 years. Logitech found a winner in the 502 and they were smart in just improving it and not trying to remake the wheel. I've owned a 502 for the last 10+ years, and while I've tried other mice at times, I keep coming back to the 502. Great customization, dpi changes on the fly, the scroll wheel's amazing, and the weight is not too heavy and not too light. Would definitely recommend.

One of the Best Mice I have ever purchased

The 'Don of Mice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sort of a weird title for a review? Well I'm weird. The Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse definitely isn't. In fact, Logitech keep stepping up their game, making me state their latest, the Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse, is the best mouse I've ever use. The Teflon pads on the bottom of the Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse make gliding around any surface a breeze, and it does so without collecting anything along the way. Another cool feature I enjoy is removable left "missile/shift switch" as I like to call it (for obvious reasons). You can actually pop it off and replace it with a dummy switch that does nothing. The Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse also has a better feel in hand. It is a light mouse (Though, I'm guessing you could rig some weights to go in the bottom storage-well for the switch/USB connector within the mouse). I can't really think of anything bad to say about the Logitech G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Gaming Mouse. It is lightning fast in all my gaming (and Every Day Use scenarios), IT JUST WORKS. It's the Teflon Don of Mice.

Best Mouse Ever by Far!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would have to say this is the best mouse I have ever used by far. The response is spectacular, the button customization is second to none, and ergonomically it is perfect. I love how they use magnets now for the compartments and the lights, even though I didn't purchase for them, catch the eye. The build quality is phenominal, they even give you an extra button that you can replace the thumb button with to fit your hand best. It slides all over the place with no effort and the surprise I found to be the best feature ever is the pads on the bottom do not collect gunk like most mice do, so you don't get that drag every so often that you have to pick off and clean up to get the mouse back to optimal sliding ability. The scroll wheel is one of the best I've ever experienced and it charges with usb c in no time at all. I really can't say enough great things about this! You might think, it's a mouse, what's there to get all giddy about, but once you experiene the G502, you will definitely understand what I'm saying. Do yourself, your wrist, and your patience a favor and get one of these immediately!!

Top all around gaming mouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G502 x plus lightspeed surprised me. The only fault I could find, and for me it almost caused it to lose a star is that it is not bluetooth enabled. One of your USB ports will be taken up with the receiver dongle. At this price point, and with so many computes now coming bluetooth enabled, this seems like a throwback to 2005. Now on to the likes. Lefties, you'll need to use your non dominant hand. This is a right hand only mouse due to the shape and curve. It's got a great ergonomic feel and is just the right weight for all day gaming. Button placement is good, and within easy reach for medium and larger hands. Button clicks are precise and satisfying. With the number of buttons, it's a good all around mouse. FPS, MOBA and even MMO games all benefit. If you're a strict MMO player, you might find yourself wishing for a couple extra buttons though. Logitech G-hub software allows you to program it, and it's an easy effortless thing. The mouse can hold 5 different profiles in it, and as many as you can dream up in the g-hub software. Logitech has another winner on it's hands.

Great Mouse, Not Lightweight
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech G502 X Plus Lightspeed gaming mouse is nothing short of Logitech's best hardware. The connectivity is great. It uses the typical usb dongle, with downloadable software from their website. Once it is installed, you can control every aspect of the mouse. The RGB lights, DPI, etc. While using it, I did notice the weight. It is definitely heavier than your typical gaming mouse, but in a good way. I used it while playing a variety of PC games. From first person shooters, RPG games, city building games, and racing. They are worked great, with zero lag from the mouse. Compared to other Logitech gaming mice, this one is my favorite now because of its weight. Controlling the RGB lights is fun too. I have mine matching the other RGB lights on my keyboard and office lighting. The scroll wheel is also adjustble. You can switch from fast scrolling to a more staggered feel. I do not think that Logitech missed anything when they made this mouse. Overall, I can recommend the Logitech G502 X Plus to anyone looking for a versatile gaming mouse.

Logitech G502 lightspeed.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all make sure you download the new firmware for the mouse. Thatbwill save you troubleshooting ossue you might run into. The light speed has the ability to store 5 programs for use on other devices. Comes with fully remapping for each button. Along with remapping button triggers can also be set for hot keys. Found this after doing so digging. Also dpi can be adjust on the fly. Which helps with mouse speed with moving if you need fast wide movement you got it. If you need steady less shaky movement you have too. All while never having to stop and adjust. Now that does come with a issue i noticed. If you forget that you mapped that button for dpi adjustment i kept pressing it accidentally. I used this feature for sniper game I play that help keep the cursor movement down while aim at the target. Made a world of difference when aiming and shooting while lookijg down the scope at your target. The scroll speed is anothe adjustments that is rrally cool to do in the fly. Sometimes too much customisable features is a bad thing. A very bug deal.is the rgb light you can program to your rig if you have other rgb lights. Not all light programs will work. Check to see if they are compatible. Im very new to this rbg cohesiveness to allow all your rgb to be in sync. So cool cant believe how far rgb has come. Still had bugs to work out but aside from that very cool feature. Also the thumb button has a magnetic swap cover to remove the accidentally button press i experienced. The logitech software even allows you to see how much battery life you have remaining with rgb on or off and when you have programs loaded to the mouse. Thats super convenient. Many people could just keep it plugged in but cordless this mouse is a beast also. Zero lag difference plugged in out corded. Everyone has their brand they like to stay with but i always say give other a shot. Because I was very surprised on how well this lightspeed has put logitech on the map for me with their gaming products.

A downgrade from original G502 Lightspeed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the original G502 Lightspeed since it was released along with a Powerplay pad. With the G502 X Plus Lightspeed being an iteration of an existing model, I largely base this review on the significant changes between the two. Though it does come with some improvements, overall I find this new iteration to be a downgrade. [ What’s familiar ] At the heart of the mouse sits the Hero 25K sensor which has the same high precision, low latency, and smooth responsiveness I’m familiar with from the older model. I’m mostly fond of this performance, but as usual, woe to ye who encounters a spec of dust on their mouse pad, as when playing an FPS game, this will often snap my camera up to face the sky or down to the ground and spin around at RPMs that would make a car engine blush. Works well with the Powerplay pad. Though this is not a review of the Powerplay pad (sold separately), I see this compatibility as a major asset for this mouse. Besides the obviously very nice worry-free charging, the pad’s built-in wireless receiver provides very close-proximity wireless transmission that reduces/eliminates potential hiccups. The official G Hub software has improved since the old model was released, but it’s still pretty bad. As an example, for what should be a cornerstone feature, they *still* haven’t properly implemented automatic profile switching. I mean, they’ve tried, but it just doesn’t work well. I have to create desktop profile clones for each application/game I want to customize and then manually switch between them in order to have a sane experience. [ Improvements ] - I’m not fond of textured rubber grips on mice, but there’s improvement here. The tactile feel of the deep-grooved triangle mesh on the older model felt unpleasant and was a horrid magnet for biofilm buildup. The texture made it difficult to clean well and I removed bits of rubber every time I cleaned it, resulting in what now looks like quite a mess. The much more subtle texture of this new model feels nicer, and I assume will be easier to clean, though I expect I’ll still be removing some amount of rubber over time. - Pressing down on the wheel as a middle mouse button feels less awkward, probably due to the removal of the ribbing found in the old model’s wheel. - Swapping out the micro-USB port for USB-C was a long time in the coming, but appreciated all the same. [ Downgrades ] - It feels like there’s been a double or worse increase in the travel distance (pre-activation) of the left and right buttons over the old model. I greatly dislike this change, and I’m certain this has negatively impacted my gaming performance. - I prefer heavier mice, as I feel like they give me finer control than lighter mice. Not only is this new model lighter than the original, they completely removed the optional weights as well, which strikes me as a case of extreme corner cutting. This probably negatively impacted my gaming performance. - The switches on the left and right buttons are much louder, with a metallic ‘dink’ noise that I find particularly annoying. - The old model had three discreet indicator lights on the left side that could clearly display the current DPI setting as well as the current battery charge. With the removal of these lights, they added a single light beyond the scroll wheel to be used as a battery level indicator, which is almost completely hidden for me because of the curve of the mouse combined with its position on my desk, making it virtually pointless. The new Lightsync lighting is used as a DPI level indicator when changing this setting, but the colors are so arbitrary as to be meaningless, with apparently no way of changing these color presets. It feels like they’ve effectively removed these two features. - The included USB cable is rubber-coated. I have no idea why they bothered, as this adds unnecessary friction to mouse movement when tethered. [ Other thoughts ] - The changes to the G-Shift (‘sniper’) button has no benefit for me. The increased size is offset by it being placed farther toward the front, resulting in the same feel for me, which I think is a shame, as I see room for improvement here. - The vast majority of the new 8-LED Lightsync lighting is hidden when a hand is placed on the mouse, so it seems mostly designed as accent decoration while not in use, rather than for actual utility while in use. [ Conclusion ] While not a bad mouse, I consider the G502 X Plus Lightspeed to be a downgrade from the older G502 Lightspeed, and for that reason wouldn’t recommend it unless the new lighting particularly tickles your fancy.

Quite Possibly the Best Mouse in the World
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm coming from a Corsair Dark Core RGB PRO SE wireless mouse. I already like this mouse much better. It is significantly lighter and has a really good hand feel. I use a fingertip grip. What I like the most about this wireless mouse is that even after it turns off there is almost no delay in it moving the mouse cursor once I start moving it again. On the Corsair mouse it took a good second or so to start moving the cursor. Also, the battery life on the G502 X Plus is better despite it being significantly lighter. The scroll wheel has very defined increments when not in free spin mode. Kind of makes for a bumpy ride when scrolling websites but its not a big issue for me. Mouse clicks are nice, short and crisp. I got the white version. It looks fantastic right now after about a weeks worth of use but we'll see long term. I don't eat greasy snacks at my desk but it's just a matter of time before this thing is gonna need a cleaning.

Good Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech - G502 X PLUS LIGHTSPEED is a very good mouse, whether for gaming or anything else with your computer. I'm a fan of Logitech products and have never had any problems with any of them. I'd give this 5 stars, but Best Buy was incredibly slow getting it to me, and I'm local. I would have gone to the store to buy it, but I wanted to save gas and time to do other things. My mistake.
