Connection Problems

My earbuds will randomly lose connection with my iPhone. Restoring connection can sometimes be done by simply placing them back into the charging case, however that rarely works. Usually I have to delete the buds from my phone and hold the button on the case for 30seconds to reset connection. For the price I paid for these this should not be the case and I expect better quality from Bose. As of right now my buds are on their way back to Bose and they're sending me a new pair. If the new pair works well then I'll update my review and write it off to a bad set. Unfortunately this seems to be a common problem.

For Bluetooth disconnection issues, the steps you tried would fix this issue. However sometimes you may need to also power cycle your phone as well (turning off and powering the phone back on). This will refresh the Bluetooth system in your phone, helping to create and maintain a strong connection with your earbuds. They certainly have had their share of blunders with ear buds but these are not lacking. I just picked these up a few days ago and Im already in love. The comfort is pretty nice and the sound quality is amazing. They produce the same, if not better sound quality than my Bose QC35 headsets. The EQ in the Bose app is probably my favorite feature so far. A little pricey but these are really worth it.

Had Bose soundsports and loved them but they were a constant battle to get them to charge properly. Bought the Quietcomfort II's a few month's ago and now they are more trouble than they are worth. Worked flawlessly and then comes the update. Now connection is a constant battle. They may connect and work flawlessly, next time you go in and out of the case several times to try and get them to connect. This is totally unacceptable for a $300 pair of earbuds. Bose is great at sound but they really need help with softwear! I really hate to say it but im done with Bose. I can live with lower sound quality if the product work and does what it says it will do.

It's great to hear you've been a consistent Bose customer over the years, but I'm sorry to hear you've had issues with them.
If you find your buds disconnect regularly you may wish to establish a new connection and forget the initial pairing.
You need to make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the media device is enabled when powered on.

The noise cancelling is not functioning as well as he would have hoped however, we live in NYC and subways are obnoxiously loud. That was his only complaint, otherwise he absolutely LOVES them!
