I'm still discovering the utility of the actual functioning of the Wonderful technology. 16gb ram is enough but 32gb is most efficient than it and useful for students

I really want to like this laptop. Nice build and features, but one day within the warranty period it just stopped turning on. No fans, no keyboard lights, no display (even external) and only was getting a light next to the input from the external power adapter. Pretty clear that either the battery, charger, or motherboard failed. Telephone support was reachable but put me through a battery of tests, some that made sense, some not so much (how can you update the firmware on a laptop that isn't powering up?). Conclusion was to ship the laptop for further testing and service. I was sent sturdy packaging with a shipping label and sent it to the service center. After a few days I was told no problems were found / no actions were taken, and they shipped it back to me. As I expected, it didn't turn on. Back on the phone for more testing and a video call to show it won't power on. They shipped me a new power adapter. No change. Back on the phone for more testing, and finally I'm like I've spent hours on this let's just get it back to you so you can fix it this time. I still had the original box they sent last time, they could have just sent another label via e-mail but I had to wait for another box and label to arrive. Shipped it back to them. Waited a few more days, I get a call back and they tell me nothing is wrong they are sending it back to me. I'm like, no you aren't. I wanted to speak to the tech working on the laptop but the call center can't do that. I told the call center I've been working in IT for 30 years and I think I know when there is a hardware issue that needs to be resolved. I had no idea how they could come up with this diagnosis that there is simply nothing wrong. Finally I get notified a few days later that they have identified a hardware problem and they need to swap the motherboard. The part has been on order and I'm supposed to get the laptop back in a couple of weeks. Don't understand why this part is not stocked. All in, assuming I get it back working when promised I've been without this laptop for over 2 months. HP was a good company back in the day and I spent many years running data centers filled with their servers and storage. All I can say is the consumer side leaves a lot to be desired. If you can tolerate waiting 2+ months to resolve a hardware issue then this is the company for your laptop needs. If not I suggest you research other options or buy a Mac.

Great specs for a laptop. Decent for gaming and an absolute beast for productivity. Obviously it will never best even a mid range Desktop but as a laptop it is a great buy if you can get one for under $1500. Do not buy this if all you do is browse the internet and check your emails. There is way better options that are more cost effective for that kind of usage.

Worst thing I've ever bought. It struggles with graphics, thanks to the Intel i9 crashing. The screen went out within a year. Got that "FIXED" by best buy and I would never let them work on any electronic ever again. Best buy replaced the screen twice (X2). The first time they made nasty cuts on the lid, which cut my fingers. I bled for a bit. And now, I'm looking for a replacement battery because it needed calibrated and the whole calibration process didn't work. Today the laptop shut off mid game and won't turn on due to the bad battery. I will never buy an Intel. I'll go back to Ryzn AMD. You'll also see how hard it is to find another laptop for sale with these same specs... Probably due to terrible results like mine. Buy something better.
