Ive been loving every second, even my girlfriend loves it, cant keep her off it lol. The only thing so far im worried about is the sd card problems, im nervous to use one. But will try to with a small sd card first!

Amazing. Have a library of PC games that I have not been able to play due to time constraints, kids and work etc. So being able to play on the go with this portable beast is a pleasure. Armoury crate seems to work very well, would take some of the critic reviews with a pinch of salt since they are mostly outdated with the number of updates that Asus have been delivering. There has been an issue with the SD card, it did seem strange that the bios I was running would allow the system to run at 90C. I purposely avoided this and since they have released an updated bios that runs with much louder fan profile and lower temperatures

Definitely worth it regardless of what the bad reviews say its literally a mini computer alot of people just except something like a steam deck no its that and much more steam deck can be a Pc as well but its simplified straight to steam and to in experience users thats perfect RoG has a rough go at 1st but so does every new hand held now its updated with proper BIOs,etc give it a shot get the z1 extreme its worth it over the cheaper Ally

I owned a Steam Deck before the Ally, and I can honestly say I haven’t used my Steam Deck since then. I liked the console feel of the Steam Deck but Linux does have its limitations. The Ally on the other hand can handle most if not all the games in my Steam and Epic Games Library with ease, especially if you configure everything down to the recommended specs. Windows can be a little convoluted but once you update and adjust everything to your liking I feel that it’s a pretty solid handheld PC. Give it a week and you won’t regret your decision :)

really cool portable gaming pc quality is good and the softwares are super good so far no issue and it runs most of my steam games

ROG Ally runs games very well, shocking for a handheld. Does tend to warm up a little when playing a high graphics. Buttons feel good and responsive. Overall really good handheld

I am aware of a few issues that others are having with this device in the forums, but I have had a blast using this powerful little computer since launch. Not many performance issues at all, graphics are beautiful, and the ergonomics are the best of any handheld gaming device I've used. Also, the design is absolutely the best of any device on the market right now. Great buy, would highly recommend for anyone who wants to play Game Pass or Steam games on the go or in bed!

Its a good device but not for every body. This thing is very powerful but the battery drains very quickly and i feel like many people cant enjoy the games when played on that small of a screen

Amazing handheld! Runs cod at 100 fps, fort 150+ fps, hogwarts legacy around 90 fps. This handheld can run pretty much any triple A game title on low settings.

This is a great handheld. If you pick up the plug it is a pc you can take anywhere with you. Hasn't had a hiccup yet.

I have the Asus ROG ally and the steam deck. I love both because there's room for both of them if your are a gamer in my opinion. The things that separates the ROG Ally are the 120hz resolution and windows capabilities of playing all PC games. I didn't give 5 stars due having issues with my 1tb micro SD card after a few days, the issue unfortunately does exist. I did install a 2tb SSD card to over come the previous complaint. Overall The Asus ROG Ally is a great quality portable gaming PC.

Excellent portable console, Very good quality and performance

The initial startup is kind of a mess. Keyboard didnt work when connection to wifi so i had to use a dongle and hook up an actual keyboard. 2+ hours of updating just to get everything up to date. I really love the design of this handheld, but software needs way more work. Performance is fine, though i wish it was better. Its a neat device but if you alreadyhave a steam deck just keep that. I personally dont think this is worth the upgrade. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who doesnt like tinkering!

It was a great product just changed my mind and returned it but overall fantastic

You must change your in-game settings to fullscreen and 720p. Then, make sure you push the little physical button on the right to bring up the overlay menu and make sure RSR is enabled. Your game will run at the at 720p upscaled to 1080p and you will get significantly better FPS since the gpu is only actually rendering 720p. This is how you get better FPS. Using this method, I was playing Tom Clancy's The Division 2 on "High" settings and getting 60+ FPS consistently. I did notice a few dips on the FPS when I was in-game in an outdoor environment and it was raining for example but it was barely noticeable since the screen has VRR.

Ally rog portable handheld is great..it is great PC playing game on the go.. highly recommend to get Ally rog to play your game on Handheld PC

I have been using it on steam and xbox with no issues with gameplay and feels good but put in mind that its a handheld so it wont run on the highest settings and playing AAA games will make the battery die faster but wont take long to recharge it. My only issue is when i got it, it was dead and while on charger and starting it up the keyboard wouldnt work till i restarted it again and it overheated while on charger the first time but was good after so idk if it was just me or device issue. only had it for 2 days with no other issue and have been using it nonstop but im not someone who has other devices like steamdeck to compare it too.

Excellent, fun and versatile. My only improvement would be battery life. It does charge quickly and performance exceeds my expectations

This is a great portable pc gaming machine. Plays all my compatible Xbox and pc games. The only issue is the battery life is a bit short.

This is a really great item to get if you are always on the move wanting to game. Downside is the battery doesn’t last very long.
