It really is an amazing product, but I wish there was more here. The brand "republic of gamers" makes products marketed towards gamers, but this device is nearly useless in most games without a dock, 100W charger, keyboard, and mouse. In games that already support controller controlls, like stardew valley, ive been having a blast, and for that, I give ROG an A+. ROG themselves fortunately made it possible to customize these controls, but once again it feels very very difficult, and im not saying its ROG, or the devices fault, but the reason i give them 4 instead of 5 stars, is because of the way they marketed the device, and also not giving the option to view games that have controller support. I think ROG can make this product better by packing the device with a 100W charger instead of the 65W, for people looking to dock the device, as well as including software similar to that of operas game viewing programs, specifically filtered to view games that fully support controller controls.

I loved the deck but the problems playing certain games and lack of egpu ability is what made me purchase this and try it. I love it. Its pretty amazing. The battery life is atrocious I will say. Keep that in mind. But overall with how I use this my personal experience is a pleasant one that exceeds the deck.

I’ve managed to get almost 2 hours of battery running it at that between multiple games

After about a month I forget half of the time I have a Ps5. I always have my Rog with me. It performs almost every game ive tried to play. Currently playing helldivers 2 check it out. Also the fact its functioning windows makes this my laptop.

Had a couple issuses when getting it set up it didnt want to load my steam or xbox but after some youtube videos got it up and running. Works best connected to wifi but dont have a problem using it without. Planning on buying another for myself.

This device does not heat up. I use my sd card and had no problem with it. I had this device for at least a month now. The whole device does not over heat. Only the charger adapter heats up when the device is 50 percent. It is super fast charging for me. Battery life is good for at least 2 hours. Msi claw i own battery life sucks is probably from amazon i got it from the seller. I would recommend rog ally z1 extreme to people that has low budget. My advice is wait till they have a sale for 400 dollars it is worth buying

Problem is the battery only lasts an hour to two depending on what you are playing, and you can count on it being finger-burning hot after about 15 minutes.

Only thing was at the beginning the keyboard was not showing up but i pressed up on the d pad and the back right button and got i manually up. Only on setup now it works perfectly.i had a steam deck on windows but cod wouldn’t work right and other games as well. This one does it all and then some, betterscreen, 120hz. No complaints, ive done all the updates as its a new device so itll have constant ones .
