This is a handheld PC, not a handheld game console. With that said it may not be for everyone. If you have a gaming PC then yuu are accustomed to the challenges that come with Windows. If your use to console your better off with a Steam Deck or Switch. This requires alot of uodates, tweaks, and patience. All of which i am familiar with.it is a power house of a system. Exceeded my expectations.

I bought the extreme version from the store floor and it has been absolutely running amazing. I think that it was tinkered with to be optimized at first and it has run literally amazing. Best purchase I’ve made and will get an XG mobile 3080 to consistently run high settings in apex locked at a consistent fps. This thing is amazing

Its a good product but has a few quirks being the first one in this hopefull series of consoles. Its a good concept. Having trouble playing games. Battery dies super quickly. It comes with alot of memory but with games that take up 200 plus gigs thats nothing in this day in age. I installed a 1t micro sd memory card Having trouble getting games to install on it. This system is so complicated to use but its a handheld computer essentially.

Bought an open box product. Rog ally came with charger only no box or anything and was horrible condition. I cleaned it up and decided to keep it. I use it everyday. I love it.

I liked so much and is great but the battery is so bad, I mean in the performance moyd in gta v with high graphics in 720p its like a hour and a half maybe two for me its enough, I just write this because some dudes want to have Best graphics in 1080p an the still want more than a 2 hours of game bruh.

This thing is a beast, highly recommend for anyone whos into potable gaming, has great resolution and alot of the games can hit 60fps while tweaking some settings, absolutely love it!

Exxcellent product, excellent condition as advertised, and excellent customer service from Best Buy. The price was right too! This thing is seriously powerful enough to play AAA games at medium settings at 60FPS and is a dream come true in order to use it as a handheld, or plug it into a dock and tv and use it as an everyday computer.

Best device I’ve ever bought. Does it all, is comfortable, portable, and fun.

Awsome little gadget but very little hard drive space. Great graphics!

Works great. Only downside is battery. Games look great and easy to use.

Better perfomance than a steam deck, propietary external gpu port is a dissapointment (the rog external gpu is crazy expensive) defied the purpose of more graphic capacity, you cpuld easily buy a gaming laptop for the price of their gpu, but good sytem after all updates so far.

I love that this device can pretty much play any game without issue and has a 120hz 1080p screen. I can look past Armoury Crate bugs and the fact that Windows is not optimized for handheld devices (yet), but the lack of quality control concerns me. I exchanged my first one already due to RGB issues that may have been with the software, and I’m leaning towards exchanging my replacement because of the fans. Some coil whine I can tolerate, but the one I have now almost makes a different type of crackling noise. I would expect better quality for a $700 device.

Start up was a little rocky solely for the amounts of updates you have to do and configuring that needs to be done to actually enjoy the device. But after a couple of hours dedicated to set up, the ROG Ally runs great and im able to play games like COD on the go. You can stream xbox/PS5 games and download xbox games locally.

nice little portable gaming pc. Battery life is nowhere close to the steam deck and it also lacks the console like features of the steam deck. This will be an excellent devices if windows updates the OS to include a handheld gaming mode.

Best gaming console with light weight and easy to use

For $450 with free travel case, I believe this is the best deal currently on one of these handheld gaming consoles. You get the Z1 Extreme processor and 512gb of ssd storage so it will hold a decent bit of games and actually be able to run them. Order a $50 micro sd card and you can easily add an additional tb of storage. So far, I love it. However keep in mind the limitations of APUs in general. While I’ve yet to boot up a game it wouldn’t run, you may have to turn settings down and more than likely rely on some of the AMD upscaling features such as FSR, RSR, and ASMF

This console is really good! I feel like there should be a lot more ease in using it for Steam and other game hubs. Games that are fully controller compatibile still seem to have issues with the ROG ally. Overall best device I've ever owned.

Awesome device for streaming and playing games native. Needs a better battery life though it is horrible.

The first thing that caught my eye was the sleek and futuristic design of the ASUS ROG Ally 7. Its white color scheme, accented with striking ROG branding, gives it a premium feel. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around without compromising on performance

I'm giving it a 4.⁵/5 (that small.5 in intentional). It works excellent for the most part but the memory card issue is what I can't deal with right now. That's the only reason I returned it otherwise it shines in all the games I threw at it. I have a 2021 gaming laptop but it can't deliver the performance that this little guy can.
