I do understand Asus has there problems, but as long as you're aware of the issues, then it's a solid purchase.

A gaming handheld pc with amazing specs. If you enjoy handheld gaming or want to get into it then I recommend this! But i do recommend saving up for a 2tb ssd card for the ally if you want more space. With games bing over 70+gigs you'll run out of space.

Best purchase I’ve made in a while. Plays BG3 perfectly. I wish it had slightly better battery life, but that’s a minor complaint considering it plays BG3 smoothly in unplugged 15 watts mode.

But after using it for a few days, asus need to make it better. The full windows 11 integration is great but the price is too much for what you get. I would expect atleast a 4k screen. Overall, great product. I would definitely recommend.

While I have had the usual difficulties of a first gen product, specifically with the joystick, and I am aware of the potential of SD Card overheating in turbo mode, ASUS is so ng right by me and fixing the issues. Additionally an external dock with SD card reader solves the overheat issue with the cards.

Not worth-it for multiplayer

The games I can play with it are nice but don’t buy it for multiplayer games like I thought I could. Single player games are key.

Based on the issues described, we recommend updating the BIOS. It is recommended that the BIOS and firmware be downloaded and updated for system performance optimization. Setting it up takes awhile but once you’re done everything is really easy. My first device was an open box and one of the bumpers didn’t work but I traded it in for a new one and so far everything works great.

It's not meant to play your games at 4k with 144 fps. It's more for the casual gamer on the go. Or someone who likes there demanding game on the go at slightly less fidelity than what they get in their 4090 tower. It runs every game I've thrown at it at acceptable rates.

Gets really hot and lags on some things. Anytime i want to use an external controller i always have to unpair then repair even if its connected. Graphics are good but embedded controller isnt reall fine tunable.

Very powerful and easy to handle . Only down side is the battery life , based on my experience thus far , i get around 70 minutes of play time . Other than that , i am very happy with it .

I have the Steam Deck as well and I put it down when I picked up the ally. If you're on the fence just goto your local Best buy and check out the floor demo. Then you'll be sold like me!
