Nice grip with my size of hands but it’s windows and windows is the biggest problem. There ar eso me design flaws as well. Hate that I can’t setup offline. The SD Card slow gets super hot. And recently with an update from 7/12/23 my sd card had issues. It would slow down my console down so badly because the SD HDD usage was at 100%. Reformatted the SD card twice and even empty it showed 100% usage under HDD. Factory rest didn’t help. I ended up powering on my console without the sd card and opened up disk management once I inserted the sd card it showed up immediately and I was able to do another format. It worked ! But the hassle was such a pain. I’m just glad it didn’t fry my sd card like other people

The Lenovo Legion Go will be better optional that LLG is really fast on FPs and long battery life. This Rog Ally is stronger and smooth on it and I feel it is like a gaming desktop. I am happy with it.

We do understand your disappointment with the ROG Ally and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing overheating and issue with the SD card reader slot. To resolve the card reader issue, check if the memory card is working properly and the most current card reader and chipset drivers posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/ . If you are experiencing overheating while gaming is normal. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. You can reduce this overheating by tweaking your hardware and performance mode setting using the most current version of the Armoury Crate utility. Furthermore, update Windows, drivers and the BIOS if outdated. Additionally, if you are playing these games online, ensure this handheld device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. The Xbox app works great for streaming games, running full pc games works great. Games like MW2, Diablo 4, and Fortnite run great on this. I upgraded to a 2TB 2230 right away for more storage. Keep in mind this runs full Windows so you'll have a ton of updates out of the box before you can game. But after the sky is the limit.

Being able to have a computer on the go that’s gamer friendly is amazing. Especially since my career takes all over the country and I don’t have a bulky laptop or a dedicated gaming handheld and I have the versatility of this thing! More space is all you need.

I have had mine since day one release and ive had no issues. It works just fine I play diablo 4 and have used it for xbox game pass games. The only thing I dont like is having to use a ps4 controller ro play ps now games. But that isnt really a ROG ally issue more of ps.

After a few windows updates and driver updates. This thing is awesome. COD plays with zero glitches. Spider-Man and Fortnite play with zero glitches or performance issues. Couldn’t be happier with the ally.

AAA gaming is no issue and battery life is alright. Pair this with the asus adapter and you can hdmi out with ease.

The ally beats the steamdecm in every way other than tge anti glare screen. The Steambecks antiglare screen is super helpful when playjng outdoors. The ally has better graphics capabilities overall and is the better option overall in my opinion

It has surpassed my expectations, ran CoD, Diablo 4, and Starfield with minimal tuning of the settings. Software works fine, just make sure you run all the firmware updates.

Currently has issues with the SD card but I’m sure they will eventually fix that. Sticks are bad, like really bad. So bad I’m gonna start carrying a wireless remote just to avoid using them. Other than that, runs games great.
