Only downside I have is storage is not that much wish there was at least 1 TB as 512 gb is not enough for this day and age

Runs games great played game pass games on it. The initial setup can be so so could of been smoother but once done this thing was incredible. Dont expect it to be like a switch is the only warning not a open and play each game may have different settings needed if you can deal with that then its worth it

It plays Starfirld with zero issues. Forza like a champ. What I didn't realize fully is that this is a full on computer too. Attach it toa docking station and it is like a laptop . Well worth the pricetag.

I use steam, Xbox, and gog as my primary platforms I buy PC games on. They all work with no problems! If you're trying to save battery, you can also stream on the Xbox app. It's super cool!

We do understand your disappointment with the ROG Ally and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing overheating and issue with the SD card reader slot. To resolve the card reader issue, check if the memory card is working properly and the most current card reader and chipset drivers posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/ . If you are experiencing overheating while gaming is normal. When system resource utilization is high, this will generate more heat than normal and tends to trigger the fan to spin at full throttle. You can reduce this overheating by tweaking your hardware and performance mode setting using the most current version of the Armoury Crate utility. Furthermore, update Windows, drivers and the BIOS if outdated. Additionally, if you are playing these games online, ensure this handheld device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. I use Xbox Gamepass for Xbox achievements a lot, which this is perfect for. Combine that/Windows/Steam/etc, what more could you ask for in a handheld? Compatability with a TV and wireless mouse/keyboard, which this does also. Win/Win.

Got everything updated and it's running smooth. Battery will last between 1-1.5hrs depending on game and display settings. I normally have it plugged in or have a battery pack on the go. I play destiny 2, Forza horizon, jedi master ( on low settings) on this device. Very pleased with graphics and display.

Been playing on it for a couple of hours a week and compared to before, the updates have helped with the overheating and keeping the SD card reader from burning out. I like the ergonomics of it and smaller size than the Steam Deck. I'll update this if anything pops up in long-term usage.

I recommend getting a Bluetooth keyboard & mouse though - it can be quite awkward to set up unless you've got good windows experience Very good for what I need it for: a switch that can run my steam library

It feels comfortable in the hands and has dynamic sound a picture. The only downside to this machine is the battery life. I recommend getting a discounted version or buy it on sale.
