It's very capable for a handheld device, and can stand up to my old custom built PC.

It does take about an hour with all the updates. Handles most everything at playable frame rates. Fan is a little loud when plugged in. Overall pretty happy with it.

If you are into computers and know how to trouble shoot you will have a blast. Setting game peofiles and display settings for each game will help you have a smoother gaming experience. And especially for the price point it makes it a great buy.

Runs all the games that I need it to while im on the go or just want to sit in bed and game. Im not a very techy guy but they made it simple enough for me to be able to download my games and play right out the box. 10-/10

Battery life is decent, sound is amazing, and performance is great. Only issue is the SD card which I just avoid and throw a bigger SSD into it. Other than that, great machine.

Great device, but not for FPS titles

I can run modern titles like Cod mw3 or Cyberpunk 2077 with a few adjustments. Also the display is gorgeous and the audio on board is surprisingly crisp and even cover lsup the fan noise at medium volume. The low rating is due the the joysticks. They are flimsy at best and lack any response making FPS games unplayable if you want to be remotely competitive. I had to return the device due to this issue. For all other games that don’t require much precision this device is highly recommended.

I use it all the time when I’m chilling on the couch. My girlfriend can keep watching tv while I play. It’s very good quality and I have not had any issues with any title I have tried to play on it

I do recommend getting the warrantly less you plan on upgrading the joysticks.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In all honesty I enjoyed it but I felt like the Lenovo legion go was a better option imo it just feels more like a computer than a handheld gaming console even though the ROG ally has many great features it also has many issues “sd card slot overheating” to mention one it still can be the perfect handheld device for some .. I personally enjoyed the software if used over the legion but the legion just feels like a whole computer in comparison and power is worth the $

Just make a new revision! If you are ok with that issue, then this is one of the best portable devices on the market.

Ive been using it for emulation of older titles, and it performs perfectly. It also plays full PC games with pretty good performance, although the battery life does take a significant hit in this department
