It has double the processing power of a ps4 pro or Xbox series s I was able to run games like assassins creed Valhalla and kingdom hearts 3 at a good graphics setting smoothly

For a release device, it has far less issues than most new tech. I love this thing.

It's great as you can play any Windows game (just about) but also clunky and loaded with bloat, like Microsoft Office (which you'll never use, unless you plan on using this device as a PC replacement, which would not be a very good idea in my opinion). Overall, I can't recommend it as the key aspect of this device is portability and that is significantly hindered by poor battery life.

Rog is not user friendly as a hand held

My son and I never had the courage to mess with the settings to map the buttons to games, and the ROG settings were not as straight forward as they seem. So when we finally tried to do it we ended up messing up a driver. Good thing we were still on time to return it. Its just wasn't for us. Maybe we will try version 2.0 when it comes out.

Saw this and thought why not!! ASUS is kinda terrible, really buggy when I was trying to set up an account, and also just really tedious to use. Not to mention the defects that came out the box. SD card reader was broken when I got it, a defect thats been pretty widely documented, with the chance of destroying your SD card if you aren't careful. Had to send it in to get it repaired which took 2 weeks, doesn't even come with a case. Honestly I'd never recommend this to anyone, buy a steam deck

ASUS is an ISO certified company, as a result, all products go into a strict quality manufacturing standard. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections that ensure each one is trouble-free, and are built to last. We are aware of the SD card reader issue and a hardware fix was implemented to resolve this. To resolve the stability and performance issues, please update Windows, drivers, BIOS and the Armoury Crate utility software if outdated. Updates for the device are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/us/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_bios/. Configure the game and video settings inside the Armoury Crate utility. Additionally, if you are playing these games online, please ensure the device has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. The constant updates and small bugs may turn some away from ease if use. If you are wanting a console type of experience, look elsewhere.
