This item from asus is awesome only gripe is the vents need to be moved in a bit, the heat from said vent burns my finger tip, other than that this item is a steam deck replacer with fun window i love it

The Ally has become my main gaming device. The fans run very quietly and the device is always cool to the touch. The screen is beautiful. As far as handhelds go, Armory Crate has made Windows navigation about as good as its going to get without a touchpad and keyboard.

It isn’t for everyone, but this handheld pc will surprise you. I recommend this to anyone that is already familiar with PC gaming or anyone that wants to tinker with a computer. If you have games on Xbox, steam, or any other platform this will play all your games. It’s quirky because it’s a windows computer. But hopefully Microsoft embraces this crowd and makes a gaming mode that allows for use of the controls in windows. Once you’re in a game you have controller access, and works as designed. Since AAA games are so large I would also recommend a large microSD card or even an external drive if you have a large library you want to play. 512gb is pretty large, but some games can be 100-200 gb.

Finally a handheld that allows you to play virtually anything! Full windows 11 allows you to play games like call of duty, halo, forza, if you csn play it on a PC you can play on this! Totaly worth every cent!

i loved the ally and it worked awesome for what i was using it for but then my Samsung PRO micro sd stopped working and i wasnt even using it for games, i will just get another when ASUS fixes that issue

It's very good, Windows is really the thing holding it back. ChimeraOS is making great strides on getting linux to work on it. On normal windows desktops, i would remove armory crate immediately. But here it's basically required for this device and it's genuinely useful for the Ally. Wifi's a bit slow. Good chance it's a weird windows thing. Running speedtests from my phone and the Ally, my phone (pixel6) is 200+mbps faster. Same AP, same distance. Hopefully that's something that will improve. If you do buy it, be prepared to update, update, update. Set aside some time. When you think you're done with all the windows and armory crate updates, open the start menu search MyAsus and update again.

I was on the fence for so long. Trying out the non extreme version and even the steam deck. I’m so happy I went this route. Every game I’ve played so far performs amazing. Can’t recommend enough.

Good buy, quick and easy to setup. Only downside is that your going to need to upgrade the hard drive for more room. Though that's easy as well

Great graphics, subpar everything else. The thumbsticks feel awful, they are loose and just feel uncomfortable to navigate with. The battery life is atrocious. It’s actually shocking how they thought it would be ok. I owned the device for about a week before I decided I need to return this thing. I wish it was better but it wasn’t.

The ROG ALLY is my personal favorite handheld it runs super smooth as well as feeling great in your hands. It can run windows 11 which is ok in a sense personally buy a laptop if you are looking to use this as a computer. ROG ALLY has a deep price of around 600$ now in store which is better than paying 800$ on Amazon so recommend buying from Best Buy especially if you are a member. The steam deck is awesome as well for running games but in my experience the ROG ALLY just seems more smooth and versatile. 1 more thing if you get the ROG ALLY make sure to purchase the Z1 xtreme version more storage as well as better software don’t be fooled by the normal and z1 xtreme the Z1 is better.

I think this is a really good machine I use it I finished Mortal Kombat 1 the whole story on it and it played great flawlessly 1080p I had it plugged into my TV I think worthwhile this is a good purchase definitely you will enjoy this product

Awesome gaming console. better than playing on Xbox

Buy this product. Its an amazing device especially on sale. A lot of these reviewers claim they love the device but yet give it 4 stars. This is a 5 star device for most people and a great way to get into pc gaming.

Theres many options for handhelds, for performance this is definitely the perfect device. But I’d always try and research on what you really want.

I wanted a gaming system while traveling for work, and this was perfect.

I love it, but it needs some work. The functionality isn't quite as simple as the steam deck but the power and speed are incredible. Batttery draining too quick is the only real concern I have.

Awesome for me can play my favorites games after work only have turn on and play

Can play steam games, xbox remote play, xbox cloud gaming, Windows PC games, Epic Store games, GoG games, Playstation cloud gaming for pc, and alot more. Bad thing is storage space.

Got it for my wife so we could game together and she loves it!
