Best handheld i have ever used, could not recommend more! It is honestly like holding a gaming pc in your hands! So many different ways to use it!

Was so hyped for this thing. When I got it I was blown away by the screen quality. Unfortunately everything else about the device is hot garbage. Within a week my creaky LB stopped working. Also, every time I turned the device on I had to manually disable/enable the SD card reader because otherwise it wouldn't show up. I returned it while I still could, gonna wait a few months to see if Asus addresses the horrible build quality. If they don't I'm gonna wait for the next Steam Deck as my Deck has been flawless for the past year I've owned it. What a letdown...

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! My husband brought this to my attention because I like to play Sims 4 occasionally and it was causing my laptop to crash. Had the Rog Ally for about 6 months now and never crashes. It does require more frequent updates than my laptop but other than that, it's amazing! It has all the benefits of a laptop, with all the benefits of the game console. Perfect combination

So far the best I’ve ever seen, portable small gaming machine, crazy how time flies. Tech is mind boggling.

It is great. Had a few minor issues but most likely windows 11 problems. Runs any game I throw at it.

I get that this device has a lot of power being drawn from it, but if you are going to make it portable make it poratble. It has its glitches as everything new will. It has several updates some kept failing and during first setups lots of updates are needed very time consuming. Also over half of the storage is gone before even downloading anything.

Great handheld for sports games, not so great for shooting. Takes sometime to setup

Cool little device, surprisingly powerful. A little overpriced. Had to upgrade the SSD to a 2tb. 512gb is nothing.

Great for gaming however i just found out that my microsd card reader is not working may be buggy.

I love it! I take it every where, all of my games in one place. The controls can take a little time to get used to.

Very powerful for its size, once fully set it is an excellent handheld. The ability to download from Steam, GOG and others on the fly is great.

This is everything you need in a handheld. This handheld runs so many typed of games from Windows to Steam to remote play (PS5). The game pass from xbox, makes it an excellent system

Great device, great performance and easy to use. Just want something with a bigger screen so I upgraded to the Legion

Not for me. Battery life when playing at 20w or even 30w was terrible. Under an hour with most AAA titles. I think that Valve really balanced the Deck OLED with 15w vs battery. Hopefully Asus are taking note and focusing on battery for the next version. I’m sure this product works for a certain users but consider when and where you are using it before purchasing.

Its a really impressive device especoally this itteration being literally their first . The steam deck still has its place and so does this . You cant go wrong with either, I have both .

As an owner of ps5 and switch, I was hoping that I can easily download games on ally and play them without playing around with settings much. But turned out that it’s more complax than playing games on my 4090 pc. Many of terriablely optimized games like gta III definitive edition would suffer to run at 1080p 60 fps even with everything set to low or off. You would also have to try different settings to get a sweet spot of both graphics and frame rate. But generally speaking, it’s still an amzing device. I use it mainly to stream from ps5, it will have to run an older version of remote play and with software to trick remote play to think that I’m using a ps4 controller.

If you come into this expecting it to destroy triple A games you are severely mistaken. It shines in the low to mid graphic games. It can have keyboards, bluetooth mice, screens all connected simultaneously. Its a very capable machine. I personally use it to play Halo Infinite and even some light MMO 2D. It runs halo at mid settings great, and maplestory with ease. The controls allow you to personally your imputs for going from a shooter to a 2nd side scroller! Dead zones are kinda hard to simulate a mouse. Recommend getting a bluetooth mouse/ keyboard.

If you want a hand-held counsel then this isn't it. If you want a hand-held pc then you love it. It has common pc issue youll have to problem solve but gaming in bed/couch is awesome.
