Love the product, bought in aug'23 just recently had to replace my joy sticks due to the sharp edges of the light ring cut into them. Also vroke both triggers but thats on me.

Its unreal how this handheld can run my games anywhere 10/10 recommend

I got this device in early July, SD card slot stopped working after a few days. SD card itself is fine, can be read from other devices, just not in Ally. I tried other card, that slot is totally gone. Since I didnt bother using sd card when i first got the device, when the slot stopped working, it;s beyond return window... I wasn;t sure if I want to do RMA, as I dont know how long it takes. Finally I decided to do it as i need the storage expansion. The nightmare started. Devices was received by ASUS on 8/4, then no updates for about 1 week, then it shows some component is out, and support will reach out within 3 business days, but no one ever reached out. So i called, after a very long phone call, support created an escalation ticket, then wait for another week, someone emailed back saying component will be avaialbe on 8/30... luckily, it didn't take that long. Device was fixed and shipping lable was created on 8/23, it's shipped out this evening (8/24), with scheduled delivery date on 8/30.... didn't even bother using expedited shipping,.. This thing is in RMA longer than I ever used it. When it works, it's a great device. Hope yours won't run into any issues, otherwise it's a huge pain.

The open box item in question does work as it should but it is disgusting there is food smudges and crime all over it The serial number stickers are so faded they are unreadable with rhyme and dirt stuck in the outline of them that will not come off there is way more dings and scratches than I would classify myself as "good" condition The packaging also was so poorly done it was just smashed in there with one of the joysticks pushed to the side because it wasn't lined up properly in the box The box itself had been squeezed cut and held while taped because when I cut the tape it literally popped open on its own there's indentations in the cardboard where it was forcibly pushed shut overall I am extremely just satisfied with the amount I paid for such low quality I feel like I have to sanitize this thing there's brown food smudges and crumbs everywhere I can literally shake it and food trucks fall out of the vent do better Best buy I would have been better off paying full price for a new one the savings did not justify the condition

Beast gaming handheld, hands down. It performs better than the steam deck.

Exellent handheld, fyi must be a little tech savy to fullly appreciate it.

I returned this item. I wanted to like it, but the more time I spent with it the more it felt half-baked, bad software, bad battery (I thought steam deck was bad, but this is way worse), terrible controller sticks that scuff very bad after only a few days use and click when rotated, and after admitting to a faulty bios update that reduced performance in games by 20% they put out no new software (I've heard Asus has a record of abandoning support.) The device has potential, but this is not the time to get on board if you are looking for an upgrade from the steamdeck. Maybe the next iteration, though I'll likely pass, the experience overall was unpleasant.

I had the steam deck, and it struggled to play the games that were verified and was very choppy. I picked up the extreme model of the ally and with the higher ram and better cpu it plays all the games I enjoy very well. Also its a very customizable device. If you want a good portable gaming device this is a really good one.

It is an amazing machine honestly & mainly for gaming on the go!

The ally is my first pc anything, im a console guy every nintendo,playstation and xbox out there i own. The steam deck was going to be my first pc handheld but i held back i was playstation 5 focused, and having my switch for travel decided to skip and buy later once the steam had any bugs worked out, the ally is very cool but very confusing for those people that have never used windows 11. I stayed up till 2am this morning trying to figure out warzone and maping the control's just to get it to run ok. ( IF ) i had a bestbuy anywhere near me the nearest being 100+ miles away i would have returned it and maybe try again 6 to 12 months from now.
