My wife got it for me and I’ve barely touched my Steam Deck (LCD) since then. Love being able to play pretty much anything and not worry about compatibility. I was hesitant to try it because I’d heard setup was a pain but honestly nothing more complicated than setting up a new PC.

Great Concept...But not the greatest product!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Day 1: (Release Day) Right out the box, hours upon hours of updates (like really a whole 8hr days worth) didnt even get any play time on it until bedtime last night! Day 2: Battery performance is almost non existence, charged it to 100% overnight and after less than 30 mins of use, battery is at 29%! This realistically shouldn't be considered a portable handheld, because you 100% need to be plugged in to enjoy using it more than 30 mins. Software is a little buggy...but not terrible. After spending $700+ on the Asus Rog Ally i really wanted to like it, but honestly i can't justify the money. I will be reseting the unit and returning.

Usually, poor and unstable internet connection and network traffic from the Windows update server will take longer for the update to complete. Less demanding games will last approximately 5 hours. To resolve the stability or performance issue, please check if driver and BIOS are up to date, besides updating Windows. Drivers and BIOS are posted at: https://rog.asus.com/ph/gaming-handhelds/rog-ally/rog-ally-2023/helpdesk_download/.
