Practically Perfect

It seamlessly plays my steam and blizzard libraries and supports my day to day needs, as much as a computer can fulfill, of course. I was pretty skeptical but I'm definitely a fan!

I didn’t want to get a Steam Deck because I wanted to play the sims on a portable device SO BAD one day. I wish I would’ve waited to get a steam deck. I’ve only had this for a few months and I opened the sims for 20 minutes. My battery went from 65% to 15%. I have to constantly have it on the charger. I don’t understand. This is ridiculous.

ROG ally is DA best

However, 3 weeks after having it and 3 BIOS updates later, my left joystick stopped registering left and right in Windows. Working on hopefully getting a replacement.

I think its grate for what it is. i have been happy with it since i bought it haven't given me any problem runs really well. I play for 4 hours on it before setting it down

So far mines been a delight other than corrupting 1 of my sd cards due to an improper default setting in windows. Overall im happy with my purchase

Never buying an Asus again

I sent it back to Asus for repair and it came back worse. They installed a nonactivated version of Windows 11, but the joystick is not responding. The fan is loud and the ROG is burning. This is my last time ever buying an Asus product.

Gave me a Dirty Unit

The handheld was absolutely filthy and disgusting, I had to wipe off all the dirt and grime myself out the box. And I payed for excellent condition! I will be making a return.

Ally while Travelling

The windows build makes it easy to use and navigate menus, while the built in software from Asus allows for a central place for all games (Steam, Xbox, and Windows) to launch

Open-box, a whole bunch of problems

Out of the box, the SD card was finicky, sometimes not working, slowing down the system, and sometimes just corrupting my SD card. After having it for about a month, the software used for the controller started to go out. The system would constantly register the device moving right. I know it’s not a physical problem because testing the stick in the calibration software shows it working. The control panel used for lots of the features also doesn’t show up half of the time. So atm this thing feels like a $500 paperweight. Only 14 days to return an open box item is crazy, especially when it’s ridden with problems. Im gonna try to plead my case and maybe I can get something worked out. I barely even used the thing in the month, maybe like 20 hours of actual use. Most of the time was spent actually troubleshooting the thing. Im just hoping for my money back.
