First off coming from a steam deck which doesn’t have all the capabilities this has sadly I would choose the steam deck over this. The Rog Ally gets extremely hot, the fan sounds like it’s struggling, holding a hand held and trying to play on a hot device is not good. Also the gaming either if your using Microsoft live pass the site distorts the picture and almost zooms the game in same with the steam games. Had to return this as this was a no go for me and to many bugs. Save yourself the hassle and wait until all the bugs and issues are resolved first.

Micro sd issues on asus rog ally

Formatted microsd on another computer. Reinserted, it sees the drive but cannot write to it. Tested back on my other computer and was abele to read and write to drive.

If the device stop recognizing a Micro-SD card, ee recommend that you send the product in for service in order to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately. Please provide the brand, size of the memory card to check compatibility.

ROG ally is mid.

I must’ve lost the silicone lottery because my version of the RG ally was not as powerful as advertised. I assume that it was just my console and bought it again, The second time around it’s still nice to have, but not something I need.

The only complaints I have are as follows: The joystick are way to loose The in game field of view was too small. I returned it because of them. The screen should be no less than 9-10”

Very pretty device but I returned it.

There should really be some sort of tutorial, guide or something to make it easy to play games quickly. I am used to play on a PC or Game console where things are a lot easier to start playing right away.

BAD EXPERIENCE, BAD OPEN BOX

When I received the device, I started the initial process, when I started the game, used armory crate, the Up directional button on the D-PAD did not work. I honestly thought it was a driver issue or maybe its working as designed. After some research, it was broken. I went back to best buy in NASHUA, NH, they told me to go to the returns line. I wanted an exchange for another open box item thats fully functional. They told me they don't have one and told me to go to Geek Squad. I went to Geek Squad and they confirmed its not working. I told him I wanted a replacement and he sent me to their top sales man. When I got there with him, their top salesman didn't even want to help me. He told the Geek Squad guy to "DO HIS JOB". The Geek squad told him he needs to do his job. It was alot of finger pointing in every direction. I told them I want a working replacement item for the same price. They could not help me. They pointed me to another sales person and she told me you will need to go somewhere else. I spent like an hour there with everyone not wanting to help me. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, no one knows what they were doing. I need customer support to contact me
