Worked for 2 weeks and failed, also when working could not clean as good as cheaper earlier version

It barely works and I paid to much for an item that doesn't barely work.

The vaccuum works okay.But for my case the vaccuum spent most of its time stuck on the bottom of my bar stools. I had to be home to free it the house was never cleaned.

Absolutely a waste of money. $378.86 machine that lasted 3 weeks and conveniently Best Buy's return policy is 14 days. Go in to GeekSquad to have it serviced since it's under manufacturer warranty. If Best Buy ships it I have to pay $60+ or they want me to sign up for their ridiculous "rewards" program for an additional $50 more so they can just do an in-house exchange. This piece of equipment was almost $400 on sale and $600 regular price, and you want an ADDITIONAL $50 so you can exchange it in store?!? What a SCAM. Going to be disputing this with my credit card now.

I have been a big fan of the Roomba family of vacuum products for many years. I currently own several robot vacuums so a comparison was quite easy for me. Enter the iRobot Roomba Combo i5+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop. The product arrived extremely well packaged being double boxed. Unboxing and the setup process up was easy. After initially charging the and download of the applicable application, it was ready for use. The vacuum is highly maneuverable and fairly quiet during the operational mode. I was pleased with how well it cleaned my floors as well as its moping capabilities. I have a 1750 square foot house (all tiled) and battery easily lasted for the entire cleaning process. PROS: Buttons are clearly marked. Suction power is powerful. Long battery life. I do want to make some comments concerning the mopping function. Robots such as these are not going to mop up heavy mud or very large stains. If you enter your home with caked on mud and leave a heavy trail your robot will naturally disappoint. It does a great job with light duty cleaning, as light stains are easily mopped and cleaned. All in all, I'm enjoying this vacuum. It's pretty good at picking up dirt during the first sweep of the floor. Cliff sensors ensure that the robot doesn’t fall over the step into my sunken living room. I have a parrot who constantly sheds both small and large feathers and the robot had no problem in cleaning them. It also picks up long hair and parrot seeds with ease. Worth mentioning is the fact that the robot is unable to map my entire house as I have a sunken living room. Research revealed that mapping an entire living space into a single “map” is only possible when all of the floors are the same height! I confirmed this fact with the manufacturer. I would recommend that users allow the product to fully “map” your home. Once mapped, the Robot easily navigates around your rooms and obstacles. In closing, this is a pretty great robot! It mapped the layout of my home quickly and efficiently. It leaves my rooms spotless and clean and its cleaning program is very efficient. This product definitely makes my recommended list.

Even after running mapping sessions, the roomba could not find its way home - ever. I would return it if I could - save yourself the frustration.

It broke already. Won’t even come out of the base station

Doesn't die to my ordered wasn't in the condition. Returned it and it seems like they just remarked it as the same item incorrectly.

Major wifi connection issues, hard to setup properly - overall user experience is the worst of all smart devices.

Did an ok job vacuuming, but mop was terrible. The mop didn't really clean anything.

Decent job cleaning but does not offer many features. Went with an alternative manufacturer.

iRobot. Makes me feel like I’m inside an episode of the jetson’s! Ok. I was very skeptical as to how much I would really use this vacuum. I have ceramic tile floors and a dog so I’m pretty used to sweeping more than normal. I decided to give the iRobot a try and I have to say that I’m satisfied and glad that I did. The feature that really piqued my interest was the self emptying feature. Initial setup was super easy. You simply take out the bin, plug it in, and put the iRobot on the charger and you’re done. Not other setup (other than in the app) required. It’s best to leave it on the charger for full charge before initial use. After this, the vacuum is basically ready for use. I downloaded the app and created an account. Set put WiFi and I was ready to go. The process was seamless. I was so eager to get things working that I immediately put it to work. I love how smart the machine is. I thought I would have to scan an area with my phone or take a picture or something so that the vacuum would know where to clean. I was wrong. None of that has to be done. There’s a “clean everywhere” setting that will allow the robot to do just that. When that button is pressed, the robot learns your home all on its own. No need to make a map, take a picture or anything. It remembers! (By the way, you can set this machine up through a virtual assistant to be able to tell your robot to clean. You can give your robot a unique name and tell your virtual assistant to clean by the name you gave it!) The floors weren’t too filthy but could’ve used a sweeping so I allowed the vacuum to do its work. So futuristic! I had to move some things I had on the floor to allow it to navigate. After it finished my entire kitchen, I sent it back “home”, meaning back to the base, and it did this flawlessly. So cool! Once it settled in the base it automatically emptied into the attached bin all by itself. To me, the only time you would have to touch it is when you’re emptying the bin. Besides that the vacuum does all of the work. You can even set schedules to allow it to vacuum when you want at any time but… I just have one issue with the iRobot i5, it is in my opinion very loud. I did not expect it to be as loud as it is. I love the look, I love the technology, but the sound it puts out while cleaning is a drawback for me. And when it is emptying into the bin it gets even louder. But the objective is to clean and that’s what this does well. You really can scratch that task off of your to do list because the vacuum does it all for you. The best time would be while you’re at work or out shopping. If you can deal with the loudness then you can program for a time you’re at home but if you’re watching television or are having a conversation the noise may interrupt.

It never worked properly. Always loses connection to WIFI, Piece of garbage.

Robot constantly disconnects from app. Map gets in then runs 2 times then deletes map and starts all over again. Moping is a joke doesn't work very well and leaves streaks. bin Has hard time emptying.. I would not ever buy this!! save your money

I have had so many issues with this machine. I have contacted iRobot multiple times...absolute waste of time. I have rebooted several times. I have taken thr machine back to zero and started over, no help.

Don’t buy this product. It’s not working in less than 2 month, stopped working as soon as the 1 month return period was over. Don’t recommend! Don’t buy it. Save your money.

Seems to do an OK job. Container is a bit small. App requires you to sign up for a free account to use. The account is pointless and another way for greedy companies to collect your info to sell to others. Even if they aren't selling your info they will just use the app to obsolete your device when they don't want you to use it anymore...

It only last 2 months don't waste your money after two months robot stop working it was not charging and not cleaning properly

Came with no instructions, app is not user friendly. Had to YouTube how to set it up, vacuum does not empty completely “self empty” you have to remove waste bin and dump it out yourself. Does not memorize mapping in rooms and gets lost/confused and the mop part needs a lot of work.
