Worked well for a couple of months. Good on hard floors not carpet. The suction is subpar. Not worth the price.

Battery last for about 10 minutes of light vacuuming. On turbo speed it drains almost immediately. Otherwise the vacuum is really good lightweight and easy to operate.

It was great on the very first use. Then it’s just gotten worse quickly. It is easy to clean out. Easy to use. Just lost the suction strength on small or side spots quickly.

The Shark Detect Pro is a great cordless vacuum that offers some excellent features. The vacuum is very simple to set up, it has the handle which houses the battery and the dust bin. The Vacuum has 3 modes to choose from: Eco mode – this saves the most energy, Auto mode – this uses power according to the amount of dirt, and lastly there’s Boost mode – this operates at the max power constantly. At the top of the handle, there is useful LED light bar that displays a certain color depending how much dirt there is. The brush is a self-cleaning brush that also has some other handy features…There is a built-in LED light strip in the front, which auto illuminates when its dark, so you can see the floor in front of you. There is also edge detect, this is where the vacuum can detect when you’re vacuuming the edge of a wall and lights up only one side of the brush. The brush also has floor detect; this means that the vacuuming can easily detect when you’re switching from different floor types. I’ve been using the vacuum for about a week now, and I really love it. The floor detect is one of the vacuum’s best features, it does such a good job transitioning from tile to carpet. It’s amazing how it automatically increases the suction power the second it enters the carpet. The LED lights on the front of the brush is very convenient for being able to see where you’re vacuuming in dark lit areas. The power of the vacuum is incredible, especially when it’s on boost mode. The edge detect works well for the most part, although there were times that it didn’t work but it’s not a deal breaker. Overall, I love this vacuum, it makes cleaning my house incredibly easy. It’s very comfortable to hold and its fairly light, yet it is incredibly powerful and has some amazing features. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The vaccuum itself was great, but the battery didnt hold charge at all! Had to return it because i couldnt deal with not being able to vaccuum the whole house without having to charge and wait.

The first thing that struck me about this vacuum is how quiet it is. In the eco mode, it’s quiet enough where you can still hold a conversation with someone or still be able to hear music playing on a bluetooth speaker. In the Auto mode where it adjust suction based on the amount of dirt it detects, it’s fairly quiet as well. Another impressive thing about this vacuum is that it provides a great deal of suction which surprised me since its so small and light. The automatic “DirtDetect” feature does a really good job at sensing the surface and amount of dirt, automatically adjusting the amount of suction. The brush head attachment also does a great job at picking up debris from both hard surfaces as well as carpets. I have fairly thick carpet in my bedroom and it’s able to pick up dirt while also not getting bogged down with the thicker carpet fibers. On thinner carpet or hard surfaces, it has this very light feel to it where it almost feels like it’s floating over the surface. Kind of hard to explain but it makes maneuvering it very easy. The only complaint I have is that I wish it came with a wall mount when not in use where it would also charge it. It does have this clever way of using the brush head as a stand when not in use but I feel at this price point it should include an attachment like that. For its size and weight, this vacuum packs a punch offering a good amount of versatility with its included brush head and nozzle attachment.

The item was dead out of the box. Thankfully Shark replaced the unit with a different model. So I can't comment on how well the new unit is, but this one was a lemon.

Within 3 months the roller stopped working. The container is also very misleading has to be emptied fairly quick or the mesh filter clogs quick.

Be aware this doesnot comes with auto empty bin.when you reachout to custome care they will tell you ill-logical things like that food does show up in the fridge but they will not give food with fridge.

Impressive vacuum! I’ve owned many Shark/Ninja appliances over the years and I’ve never been disappointed by them. The Shark detect pro cleans anything I throw at it with ease, from vinyl, tile, and both thick and thin carpet such as floor mats. This machine has a very ergonomic design to it. I've owned a number of stick vacuums and many have the same or similar feel; a sense of dicomfort to the hands. Units with a trigger are typically the worst offenders. Often requiring a button or lever to lock it into the ON position. What sets this unit apart is the ergonomics of the handle combined with a trigger/buttonless grip. Just press a button on the end and go. Once on your cleaning run, navigating different floor types is no problem. A pair of wheels glide it easily across various surfaces with minimal effort. The edge detect sensor gives you light where you need it, shifting light beads to the side running along the edge. The same lights provide plenty of light along the ground revealing every spec of dust the eye may not perceive from a standing position without its aid. Modes can be selected from the end button, from auto, eco, and boost. I typically just leave it on auto to simplify my life and let the sensors do their thing. Once cleaning is complete, it's time to clean the vac. Disassembly of the vac is a simple button found at the joints; brush head, tube, and vacuum. Clearing the dustbin is as simple as a single click of a button. Cleaning and dusting out the filters is a simple click and twist. Another twist to get the brush head roller out and cleaned. Once complete, assembly takes no time at all. Storaging this unit is where things get odd. Removing the motor and resting it on the vertically locked tube shaft is the only official manner. This makes it bulky. A simple bump of the handle will send it tumbling if not rolling out teetering. Leaving it assembled isn't an option as it will fall back as it rolls away. The only viable option is pinning it between a tall object, wall, piece of furniture, etc. and a solid object to prevent it from rolling. Some examples I've found are resting the hilt of the handle on furniture or other objects which doesn't require pinning the brush head. Alternatively, pinning the brush head with just about anything and resting the handle on a wall is sufficient. Overall, while I love the machine, it's ease of use and it's performance. I would have loved a more modern storage option. This is worth 5-stars

I really wanted to love this vacuum, and it has some good qualities, but it falls just shy of great for me. One of the best, and worst, things about the Shark Detect Pro Stick Vacuum is how lightweight it is. This makes for easy cleaning and it is easily portable from room to room. However, the impact to the overall build quality suffered to achieve this lightweight status... The canister housing is rather flimsy and is easily damaged if bumped. The hinges on the canister door used for emptying are far from the strongest I've seen in other stick vacuums. Yes, I have used several. There is quite a bit of flex in the stick itself, especially when cleaning under items like couches or beds. Battery life isn't the greatest either, particularly when vacuuming items like rugs, couches, or other fabric items. When used exclusively for these items I am averaging about 15-17 minutes of battery life. My home is all hardwood, and when used solely for the floors I am able to clean my main level of 1300sf on one charge. Now when it comes to the actual cleaning, the Shark is pretty awesome. It automatically increases suction as it detects higher concentrations of dirt and debris. As I mentioned, this is very lightweight and one of the bonuses is that it makes it very easy to clean out your vehicle. The crevice attachment works very well in this use case. Overall the Shark vacuum does clean, and it does it quite well. If you are someone who isn't hard on your vacuums then I would say this could fit the bill. However, if you are someone who tends to be a little harder, or has large cleaning areas, especially carpets, this might not be the one for you. I would recommend this vacuum but only for certain use cases.

This thing does not suck up pet hair on carpet. It only piles it up. In addition, it does not hold a charge for long...15-20 minutes. This is a bad product.

I really love this Shark Detect Pro cordless vacuum. It was very easy to assemble and came package so I could quickly get it out of the box. It has a detachable hand held piece that can be removed from the stick. The vacuum had technology that can detect different dirt levels and different types of floors. I have wood and tile floors along with multiple scatter rugs with different type of textures. This nice, light weight vacuum cleaned everything very well. I hate to vacuum but with this beauty, I just kept on cleaning. In my life, I have had many different types of vacuums but this one is truly my favorite. The beater bar piece is rather padded so it was gentle on my wood floor that scratches easily. It comes with lots of instructions for cleaning the vacuum so I am not looking forward to that but apparently many parts can be removed and cleaned with plan water. The one thing that needs improvement is how to empty the dirt canister since I inadvertently dumbed the content on the floor twice. I then figured out that it was easier to remove the hand held part and hold it over the trash can. It really is a great vacuum!
