Works great the vacuum is strong. It is easy to contol

It works great. The only thing I don’t like is that the little filter where it sucks up the dirt it fills up in one day so I have to clean it every other day but other than that I love it my shark vacuum.

Very disappointed in the battery life of this thing. I just bought it yesterday, charged it for 4 hours and got a whole 9 minutes of vacuuming before it died. There’s absolutely NO way that this thing could go for 60 minutes and it takes FOREVER to charge. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

I love that you can hang it up on its base and it automatically sucks out all the dust. I do not like how it self propels because it hurts my arm.

Stopped working within 6-months. I would otherwise rate 3 or 4 stars. I don't think it is a good value for money even if it worked perfectly for it's entire 5-year warranty period. I am not impressed with the cleaning power compared to a traditional corded vacuum. I need to make significantly more passes on my carpet. On carpet the brush will collect my cat hair into a lovely line that the unit struggles to fully pick up without 5 passes. It's fine on my wood floors and non-carpet surfaces. The battery is very similar to battery packs for drills/etc; I wish I could buy a stand-alone battery. The unit doesn't have great diagnostic indicators for problems and the user manual does not cover all failure modes. For example my symptom of not charging/auto-cleaning and yellow light isn't present specifically in the manual. At time of writing there is low availability for this item and I am not confident that I would be able to procure replacement parts for reasonable prices if at all through an expected 5-year life.

This vacuum is amazing. I’m sure it did not come with a manual though however, when I called, they did send me one and I was able to print it out. It’s so cool. It cleans well and it empties itself which I love. It’s definitely worth the money.

Works wells and charges quickly but the self emptying feature needs some work. The door will not fully latch sometimes after emptying the canister.

Have both this for work and the Power Detect Pro for home - great and light vacuum with amazing battery life and auto empty feature.

I cannot review the vacuum when it comes to how it works. I bought it as a gift. My parents needed a new vacuum. They seem to really enjoy it. They have only said good things about it. I haven't heard a downside yet. In fact, the feedback has been so good that I may buy one for myself.

Not Worth the price or may be not suitable for a carpeted home. I have 5 bed carpeted home, and this doesn't help much. Goes dead very often (just a room at a time), the Dyson I had earlier (for 5 years) , worked well and longer .

The designers of the Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System with QuadClean Multi-Surface Brushroll came up with a vacuum cleaner that solves most of the common complaints about vacuum cleaners. One of those complaints is the messy chore of emptying the dust and debris each time you vacuum. With this system, the base unit effectively and efficiently empties the vacuum into a receptable each and every time you use it. At the same time, the base also recharges the lithium battery. This leaves you with a fully charged and clean vacuum cleaner, ready for the next cleaning job! The base can hold a quite a bit of dirt and debris in its removeable container, and a LED light will let you know when It’s time to empty. Of course, a container holding all that dirt and debris would start to smell bad after a while, but the designers thoughtfully added a deodorizer to keep the unit smelling fresh and clean. The vacuum head features some thoughtful design as well, using soft velour-like material on the roller brush for cleaning hard floors, and vinyl blades for cleaning carpets. This eliminates the need to periodically clean the hair and string fibers that often build up in most brush rollers. The roller is easily removed for cleaning when needed with the push of a button. Another unique feature is the Detect dirt-sensing technology, which senses the amount of dirt being picked up by the vacuum and adjusts the suction power and speed of the roller to effectively balance cleaning vs. battery life. It’s probably one of its most advertised features, but honestly, I tend to vacuum at full power to be sure I am getting the best suction all the time. Our home is relatively small, so conserving battery life is rarely an issue. However, if you have a large area to clean, then it makes more sense to use the Detect mode to extend battery life. While in Detect mode, the vacuum senses when it’s up against a wall or baseboard and boosts suction power to improve cleaning in those hard-to-reach places. I tested the suction and thought it outperformed a vacuum costing twice the price of the Shark. I asked by wife what she thought, and she agreed! There are a lot of filters that sooner or later will need to be cleaned and fortunately they are all easily accessible. Most if not all filters are economically cleaned by simply rinsing with cold water and allowed to thoroughly dry before using again. Thankfully the base unit reduces the frequency of cleaning filters and you can probably get by with emptying the contained maybe once a month or so. This makes it a perfect vacuum for seniors who need a simple way to vacuum and don’t want to deal with the hassle of frequent upkeep and maintenance of a typical vacuum cleaner. The Shark Cordless Detect Pro is lightweight and being cordless, so much easier to use for quick clean-up jobs around the house or car. The cleaning attachments are easy to install and remove, making it easy to use the vacuum as a hand vacuum for cleaning upholstery and the like. What I like most is the convenience of having a vacuum always ready to go…with an empty container and fully-charged battery. When you are done cleaning, simply return it to its base and it’ll be ready the next time you clean. I have just one small suggestion for the designers of the Shark Detect Pro II, and that would be to use wider wheels on the power head. This vacuum will leave wheel marks in the carpet if you don't pull back directly over the area where you just vacuumed. Of course this only matters if you are obsessive-compulsive like myself.

Perfect vacuum for my upstairs area. I love that it works well in carpets and on hard floors. I have used many vacuums that claim to do both, this vacuum does. Easy to use around kids and pets.

The battery does not last as long as it states when you plug it in if you have long hair, it gets stuck and doesn’t suck into the bottom of the unit and when you put it on the unit, if there was any thing in the handle, it all comes out Like for instance kitty litter it comes out and it’s on the floor when you plug in the unit

it doesnt work on hard floors as well as I would hope. but it does really good in general. just dont throw away your broom

It actually stands for everything that they promote much better than the Dyson and very easy rechargeable. You can put it anywhere in the home and it won’t take up space

Does what it’s supposed to do. The battery life is ok, 30minutes tops. Which is better than some others out there. I’d give the 3 star rating for the overall suction being pretty mediocre.
