I love it :)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t usually write reviews but I love my legion go having a good dongle to plug it to your tv is awesome for when I’m home battery life ain’t the best but a big 60 watt power pack off Amazon and your good to go the screen quality is excellent I don’t use mine for pc stuff but you definitely could pair a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and do work with it especially if it’s connected to a dongle on the big screen

Quality and capable
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent quality. Plays 5 year old games and emulates well. Newer titles with frame generation are playable. This thing is too heavy for casual gaming, but does ok with some elbow support. The screen is beautiful….but 1600p was a bad choice with the chipset. It struggles to play even older games and that resolution at high frame rates. I like that it’s 144hz, but I actually wish it were just 1080p. Small problem to have, I’d buy again.

Pretty dope, would recommend!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This handheld is pretty amazing. Got it an open box deal for about $560 altogether & id say its pretty worth it. Was able to play cyberpunk hovering around 70-80fps which is impressive. The screen is amazing & games look great on it. Although i will be returning it, as i just found out the 2nd iteration was announced & might be releasing this year. As good as this performs at this price point, id rather wait & grab the legion go 2. I will say the only negative thing would be the battery life. Can get maybe 2 hours of play on it, so id suggest picking up a power bank if you want to game for longer.

Lenovo Legion Go Gaming Handheld Review
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo Legion Go is a feature-packed handheld gaming device that brings high-performance gaming to a portable format. Powered by the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, this handheld delivers impressive speed and responsiveness, making it suitable for running demanding games. With 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the device ensures smooth multitasking and minimal lag, allowing for a seamless experience whether you’re diving into a new game or switching between apps. The 1TB SSD is a fantastic addition, offering ample storage space for your game library, and the SSD’s high speed minimizes loading times. One of the standout features of the Legion Go is its 8.8-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600) touchscreen with a 144Hz refresh rate, which provides sharp, vibrant visuals and smooth gameplay. The high-resolution display makes games look incredibly detailed, and the 144Hz refresh rate is particularly great for fast-paced games, delivering an ultra-smooth experience. The Legion Go also has detachable controllers, which add versatility and enhance the overall experience. They offer a comfortable grip and intuitive button layout, providing a console-like feel in handheld form. The detachable controllers allow you to adapt the device to different play styles, including tabletop mode or using the handheld as a mini-console, which is especially convenient for multiplayer sessions. Battery life is decent for a handheld with this level of power, averaging around 2–3 hours for intensive games, and extending with less demanding titles. This battery performance is solid for shorter gaming sessions, though you’ll need a charger on hand for longer plays. One downside is that the device’s firmware does not currently support updates for the GPU, which can impact compatibility with certain newer games. Without GPU firmware updates, some graphics-heavy titles may experience performance issues or may even be unplayable, which limits the Legion Go's potential for future-proofing as new games continue to push hardware demands. In summary, the Lenovo Legion Go is an impressive handheld with powerful specs, a stunning display, and versatile, detachable controllers that add a unique edge to its design. While the inability to update the GPU firmware could be a drawback for future titles, the Legion Go remains an excellent choice for gamers who want a premium handheld gaming experience.

Amazing handheld
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Imagine a gaming PC and a Switch had a baby, that's the Legion Go. Mobility and ease of use of the switch (albeit bulkier than the switch) with the power of a gaming PC. The battery doesn't last terribly long when playing games, but just keep it plugged in and you're good.

Legion Go is great.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has it's limitations like any handheld PC, but it's becoming my go to. I've had a steamdeck since launch, but haven't touched it since getting the Legion Go. I can run most games, and use remote play for anything too graphically intensive. The screen is what makes this special. It's big and it's beautiful. The detachable controllers are also pretty neat, and the vertical mouse function has been very helpful at times. I recommend it!

Solid Device, Has Replaced My PC
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Steam Deck and a Nintendo Switch, although most of my gaming is done on a PS5. The Lenovo Go is my new favorite handheld device. First, the screen is MASSIVE and is the reason why I can’t play my steam deck anymore. Since this is a Windows machine, it plays all of the Steam games my Steam Deck can’t play (yes, there are LOTS of games like this - Yakuza 5, Sword and Fairy 7, and anto-cheat games). Since it’s Windows, things just run. Some cons: the battery life is low (so I keep it plugged in), the initial install and updates take a while, and there’s some customizing necessary (such as configuring the two side controllers to work with some games). On the other hand, I have been treating the device like a computer, and now I’ve been using it instead of my latop while traveling, which has been nice — since it comes with a case. The device doesn’t feel too big or heavy to me, but I will say fingerprints get all over it pretty easily — you’ll have it wipe it down between sessions. The fans aren’t loud, but I do notice them like I would a normal computer. Overall, I love it, mainly because of the screen and portability.

The BEST Handheld gaming experience!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love the Legion Go. I also own the Steam Deck. Which I upgraded to 2TB, overclocked, under-volted, installed windows 11 on dual boot with Clover, changed thermal pads to Honeywell thermal pads, and changed the whole case to a JSAUX case with better thermal. Anyways, even with all that I didn't on the Steam Deck, it still lacked the power for a really smooth WINDOWS gaming experience. Not only that, the OG Steam Deck has a pretty awful screen that messing with my eyesight. Here I am, about 3 months with the Legion Go, and I couldn't be happier. The screen a perfect size, it's not OLED, but man it looks good! And games run nice and smooth at 800p with decent visual fidelity and decent frame rate with the right settings. Battery does tend to drain when pushing it, but I just make sure to have a big power bank with me when traveling, and stay plugged in when available. That being said, I haven't even been tempted to startodding the Legion Go. Just don't have the need to, it runs great as is.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Legion Go is a wondeful machine, probably one of my favorites out of the bunch. The screen is the best part about it. Being able to slide out the controllers for a windows tablet experience is super underrated. There are several downsides to the Legion Go though, for one the battery life is ok at best. And one of the downsides in regards to the display is the fact that its a native portrait display, and gaming on windows can he finicky because of it

Graphics are good but battery life could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality is great. Most games I use require me to use performance mode and it makes the battery run out rather quickly but if I keep it on the charger I don’t have much issues.

Cozy Gamer Approved
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this console has been great with graphics and running games. There was one time it was charging and it struggled with my game on Steam but that hasn’t happened again. One less start for battery life, which I knew wasn’t the longest going into it so that was expected but still a bummer for playing on the go, and for set up. It was easy enough since I already had a Microsoft account but it’s basically setting up a new computer without a key pad. I love the track pad for computer functions. I’m excited to get a dock to play this on my tv. It is a little heavy but that’s to be expected for the size of the console. The hand grips are very comfortable still and the fan is near silent which is awesome.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted something i could play BG3 and Diablo and PoE2 on the go woth and this hands down blew my mind. Love that the controllera detach and allow me to use the built in kickstand and just sit back and play for a bit. It has so far ran every game i wanted ti be able to play on the go. Fact you can dock it to a monitor is mind blowing to me. Also love fact you get two type c ports, one on top and one bottom! Only downside and complaint i jave is that i didnt buy one sooner.

Best performance, but atrocious design choices
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR - Great screen, great game performance in handheld, controllers are mostly great with some meh, legion space UI, battery, and docked setup are frustratingly bad. If you're ok with the bad, you won't find better performance in a handheld. For the price I feel like Lenovo can do significantly better. Some things I really like: ----Performance is phenomenal (in handheld mode). Handles Elden Ring and Kingdom Come at high settings with consistent 30 FPS. ----Display is gorgeous. Good colors, 144 hz refresh rate, high resolution options. Elden Ring really pops. ----Controller feels very nice and has buttons and a scroll wheel on the back for extra customization. As a bonus, the controller can be separated like the nintendo switch. ----Built in kickstand to support tabletop play, just like the switch. Some things that are meh: ----Trackpad. I like the idea of it, but the execution just isn't as good as the steam deck. It's positioned just close enough to my hand to where it randomly gets activated, causing my game to freak out and switch between controller and keyboard modes. Notably, this happens with baldur's gate 3. Fortunately, you can disable trackpad, but then what's the point of having it? ----Fan noise is fairly loud. Doesn't bother me, but some people will find it annoying. Some bad: ----The battery life is pretty bad. Expect maybe 1 hour playing Elden Ring at a good resolution/quality setting. ----Machine won't charge while docked. This is a willful hardware design choice by Lenovo and it's stupid. To be fair, the machine has two usb-c ports so I can dock and charge at the same time. It wouldn't be so bad if the ports were both at the top of the machine, but one is on the bottom...meaning now I have to set the machine down at a weird angle or it will block air flow. It's stupid, be better Lenovo. The machine is far too expensive to not be able to use it in docked mode. ----Balanced power setting will throttle game performance HARD, meaning your game will turn into a powerpoint presentation when lots of stuff is happening. Fortunately this can be changed in the settings by switching to quality mode, but again...why? ----Legion Space. Compared to Steam deck, Legion space UI looks like something from 2005. Again, fortunately you don't have to use it, but it makes me question, why even have it? Why are any of these design choices a thing?

Lenovo Legion Go for everyday use
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for a true Windows-based gaming handheld that rivals the Steam Deck but adds a gorgeous screen, detachable controls, and better raw performance—the Legion Go is a fantastic choice. It's not perfect (battery and Windows quirks hold it back a bit), but as a hybrid device for gaming and light computing, it’s incredibly versatile.

Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I watched a ton of reviews on the Legion Go, but with it being my first experience with a PC handheld, i knew i wouldnt completely know if it was right for me unless i got one to try for myself. Not only did i like it, but it has been a total game changer for me and how i spend my free time since i can literally take this device that has ALL of my games on it, anywhere i go. Its been a fantastic experience, and i would highly recommend for anyone who may be on the fence like i was, to go for it! The screen is excellent, it can play everything in my personal gaming library (your mileage may vary of course), from GTA5, RDR2, Diablo 4, and more, all over 60 FPS. The battery only lasts about an hour to an hour and a half on peak performance but you can squeeze a few hours out of it by tweaking the settings for less graphically intense games.

I absolutely love it, but it aint perfect.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR - It's great with a few minor flaws. The Good. 1. Plays most games really well at 800p, some at even higher resolutions. Also, it boots insanely fast! 2. Barely any heat or fan noise. I have played this thing for many hours at a time on max 30w settings and the fan is almost silent, and I barely detect any heat. If you put the fan on crazy mode it can be loudish, but I play on ballanced made and its really quiet. 3. The screen is amazing! 4. The SD card does not overheat! 5. It's pretty comfortable! 6. Great case and changer. Even has a charging hole in the case. The Bad. 1. Legion Space is worthless. 2. The Start and Select buttons are tied to freaking Legion Space. Unforgivable! 3. The battery aint amazing. At max settings I will get about an hour and a half. If I want to play for an extended time I'm plugging in 100% of the time. 4. Windows. But that's not the fault of Lenovo. It is what it is. At least it boots like a demon. 5. The bottom corners can dig into the palm of your hand and be uncomfortable after a time.

awesome little computer
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i bought this because i held the ally, and it just felt cheap in my hands. after holding the legion go in my hands with the huge screen, i was sold! the detatchable controllers are kindda gimiky as well as the "fps mode" however those are just querks of the deivce. do i use it like that , no, so it doesnt bother me. it has almost replaced my gaming laptop , i say that because i find that i use this more often even if its to do some light browseing. i litterally have this every where i go. it isnt the fastest thing in the world , however its not ment to be. i enjoy mine very much

A powerhouse, With Little Cons & Many Pros
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Legion Go has definitely caught me by surprise, to say the least. I was in the market for a Tablet, and instead of opting for either an Apple or Samsung product, I decided to look into something more familiar. The LeGo has been able to play pretty much everything I've tried, with good performance. For those that use Steam, any Steam Deck 'VERIFIED' titles, this things crushes it. Baldur's Gate 3, Spider-Man, Persona 5, Dead Space remake. I tend to always get some type of emulation working on portable handhelds like this, and since this is a Windows device, it was made all the more easier. Dolphin, PCSX2, PPSSPP etc.all run great. However it's not without some flaws, first and foremost being the battery life. @ 800/1000p with integer scaling, 60MHZ at 15 TDP you're looking at roughly 2 hours off the battery. To be honest, I think the 1600p 144hz is a bit of a waste, because it destroys your battery life, and most games won't run great unless you crank the tdp to 25/30 watts tdp, and have it docked somehow. But if you do plan on keeping it docked 24/7, the LeGo makes for solid entry point into PC gaming, along with being able to to do some emulation, office tasks, web browsing, etc. I highly recommend a 100 watt portable battery bank(under 25000 MAH to be able to take on a plane). Also go for the 1tb model, because a game like BG3 alone takes up 140 GB.

Amazing Upgrade from Steam Deck
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Steam Deck 512GB, this is truly a monumental upgrade. If you know how to use windows (ex. if you’ve had a gaming PC) you’ll be able to easily navigate the UI and maximize the potential of the software in its current form which is similar to a desktop (I use the steam PC app). Everything from the incredible image of the new screen, powerful graphics (both immense advantages over Steam Deck which used to be my favorite device) and quality feel to the buttons, RGB lights, etc. My only “dislikes” are the layout of the buttons on the backside (I prefer the steam deck layout) but understand the trade off to have the removable controllers. Battery life is also not terribly long in graphical intensive games, but it’s a very good trade for the level of power this system offers. Highly highly recommend
