This device is not for the unsavvy computer users, it took some effort to set it up for gaming and to get the best performance. Once i achieved that, i was in a different world playing all kinds of Steam games and Legion Go games, and even sent an email or two and browsed the web a few times. Bright fast and big display is pleasant on rhe eyes and the controllers are just perfectly designed to feel natural while in use! I recommend this to anyone looking for a mobile gaming computer, Lenova scored with this one!!!

If you buy this device, know what it is and isn't. The device is tremendously powerful for its size. It is not, however, going to be as fast as an expensive modern desktop with discrete graphics card. I was looking for a device that would meet my specific needs, and this does so with flying colors. 1. I wanted something I could play on in the living room, but not tie up the tv. 2. I wanted a large screen because I'm trying to avoid having to wear reading glasses as long as I can. 3. I wanted something that could play games from multiple stores without a lot of mucking about. 4. Wanted something that can handle emulation. 5. Wanted something with controllers that fit my big hands well. All of those needs were met with this device. I did not care all that much about battery life as most of the time I'm somewhere with power. If you're hoping for hours and hours of battery life, you're going to be disapointed. I did not care about internal speaker quality, if I want sound, I'm wearing my headphones anyway. I was impressed with how well the device works with a docking station to be a reasonable little workstation. It's basically replacing most of my need for a laptop. It plays every game I've wanted it to so far. I'm not expecting 120 FPS at max settings in 4k for brand new AAA titles. I grew up with low frame rates and low resolutions, Most games I've tried I've found options to get stutter free playing with reasonable detail and frame rates. I'm looking forward to more accessories being available, and I really hope someone comes up with a good keyboard solution designed specifically for the device. I'd also love to see other controller options that fit the rails. Neither of those things are deal breakers if they don't eventually happen. Overall I love this device, it's limitations aren't a problem for how I want to use it at all.

After multiple updates and restarts, this thing is a pleasure to game on. It is a bit heavy but feels great in the hand. The audio out the box is not great and with demanding games battery life can be poor. The community over on Reddit have a ton of great recommendations for customizing the Legion Go, all of the answers to my questions where found on there. Overall this is a great device to game/watch movies on and I decided to keep it even though I already have a Steamdeck.

Just get it, the things amazing! Super nice screen the same or better performance than the ally. The kickstand is a huge selling point super durable. Just as ergonomic as any other mainstream option with the option to detach the controllers which is super nice. Espically if you have a bluetooth keyboard it becomes basiclly a pocket all in one pc.

Amazing device. However, I often missed the steam deck for its simplicity while using this device. Love the big screen. A bit heavy at times. Windows experience was not great though. The device needs lots of updates out of the box.

This thing is a monster. You can push it to play some crazy mods. Of course it is limited but the fact that I can play Skyrim with 600GBs of mods, or games like Final Fantasy 7 remake on the go speaks for itself. The only downside is how quickly the battery dies the more demanding the game is, you’ll get an hour for sure on demanding games. Nothing a portable battery can’t fix.

Love the 8' screen size. Preferred the Legion Go over the other handhelds for this reason only. Still a beast and can run the bigger games at a decent framerate. Great if you're a casual gamer who likes to game every other day in bed after a long day at work

Once again, Best Buy had the best deal I could find on a brand new Legion Go. I'm a sucker for handhelds and have owned several over the years. Have not done any mods or tried different OS's like Bazzite. Running the legion go as a stock machine has been enjoyable in my experience. Does extremely well as an emulation machine and the display is very nice. Battery life is as expected with something like this, very short. The USB C port supports an eGPU and the machine does extremely well with the additional power. With all the positives about this machine, I would not recommend it as a standalone PC like some people seem to do.

Once I opened this up and played it, it was amazing game was smooth screen was big and had a lot of color, but I couldn’t be blinded by the good parts of this because the bad side is worse, very bad battery (1 hour play til 0%) sound was coming from the top which made it impossible to hear anything, and the device got wayy too hot for comfort.

I can’t complain about this purchase. Does what it’s advertised to do. It’s a decently powerful pc with on the go capabilities. Runs on windows 11 and that opens up a lot of what you can run on it. It is on the heavier side but that’s because of the huge screen. Once you find a comfortable way to hold it you don’t notice. It comes with a case and that’s definitely on less thing I had to buy. This was definitely worth the purchase.

This thing is solid. Of all the handheld gaming devices that I've owned this is by far my favorite. Screen size is enormous, and gorgeous to look at. the removable controllers is neat and very convenient for different gaming scenarios, and I love the built-in kickstand. This thing has no issues running any of my current Library. You're not going to get the highest settings and FPS on Modern games, but it will surprise you on how well it can run them all.

Perfect screen size for gaming, I did not trust handhelds previously because I am more into action games which have a lot of shooting, and I want to be able to see every detail and shoot from a far, but this 8" display addresses that concerns. I am able to play all my AAA games of this, like Call of Duty, MEA, Spiderman, etc with good resolution. The battery is a challenge, since you get an hr or 2 at the max, but I just game at home, so I just plug it in while gaming

The Lenova Legion go is a great product for people that are on the go and want to be able to play their games. In the time that I was reviewing it, I realized that unless you’re on the go a lot and really don’t have time to set up a console like an Xbox or PlayStation then it’s for you. But if you are home 80% of the time it’s not really useful. On top of the fact that even though it is a handheld device, you still have to have Internet to play your online games and have the charging cord plugged up because the performance will drop quite quickly. It’s great for off-line games but not much else. I think that goes for all handheld gaming devices. The other thing about this product specifically is that the controllers make it a pain to hold for a long period of time. The hardened edges dig into your hand the longer you’re playing and it gets a little painful.

This is honestly a great device. One of the best gaming experiences. Demanding titles like Elden Ring and Baldurs gate 3 ran very smoothly and the display is clear and crisp. This device is a bit bulky, so keep that in mind. If you have average sized hands, the controllers are going to feel awkward and kind of uncomfortable. You will definitely feel the weight of the device after an hour of playing.

Yep, this thing is great. Had this for about a week now and absolutely love the screen. Even though it's not oled, it really is the next best thing as a step down from oled. I find it comfortable to hold, and it's actually not nearly as heavy as I was expecting it to be. Having windows on it just opens the door for pretty much everything you'd like to do. You can play games through any sort of Game Launcher that you can think of and you don't have to jump through any hoops to get it to work. The performance is phenomenal. It boots up really fast and games load crazy quick as well. Gaming performance has also been great and exceeded expectations. If it is a less demanding 2D indie title, you can play at the full resolution of 1600p. For more demanding 3D games that have come out in the last few years or even older, you'll have to drop the resolution to 800p. But with integer scaling and AMD's sharpness tool, it looks fantastic. With those settings, everything plays very nicely at 60 frame rates, and I keep the system set to balanced mode which I believe tops out at 20 watts. I'll usually get a little bit over 2 hours of game play. Depending on how demanding the game is sometimes 2.5 hours, and if it's very easy to run, it'll be closer 3 hours. Cooling is excellent and I have not been bothered by the fan noise at all. Overall, I strongly recommend this device to anyone who is willing to work with a windows handheld and tweak some setiings to get if running nicely. I sold my steam deck LCD version so that I could get this guy, and I'm more than happy with it. Future buyers should definitely check out the unofficial LegionGo subreddit! Everyone there is great and very helpful for initial setup and can answer questions you should have!
