Powerful windows gaming machine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty amazing performance for a handlheld. Can handle most games ive thrown at it with high quality presets. You can tinker around with the hardware, but overall quite impressive. Take the controllers off and you have a powerful windows tablet witj kickstand that gets great battery life when browsing or watching movies. Z2 extreme isnt worth the 1k pricetags when it 5% faster, this was a steal on sale at BB!

Great handheld.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really loved the device as a quick play during lunch at work. Sometimes just bringing the screen and an xbox controller made it much more portable and less heavy as well. Ran Final Fantasy XIV very well, and 2d games just look amazing on the device. The systems ability to do high refresh and resolution is a bit of a miss because most games you might play on it won't get anywhere near that performance but for older games it looks wonderful!

Beats the rog ally in almost ever way!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has a bigger and better screen, better grips, runs smoother and has the FPS mood! The only thing i would give the ally are the speakers. Outside of that the go is superior!

Fun Console
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bulky and I couldn’t stall Steam on it the console way, but an extra portable laptop is still pretty nice for gaming.

It's not good, just buy a laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While youtubers and other people might recommend this device, im going to give you my absolute honest opinion. This is not the best way to buy a handheld. It feels too big and clunky in your hand, theres buttons everywhere. You'll find yourself pressing buttons by just holding it. The controllers are modules that can be removed, which is very cool. The battery is not at all the greatest. All the apps and games recognize this more as a desktop pc rather than a handheld, which will make games run slower and certain apps to crash. The controller feels very cheap it creaks and squeaks while using it, almost feels as if it's going to break on you. At this price point, you might as well invest into buying a gaming LAPTOP

Wonderful but half-baked
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The device is amazing but was released in perhaps a half-baked state. It’s a bit behind with both its graphics drivers and the state of its BIOS. Updates are planned to fix some of this and put it on the same level as the ROG Ally. That combined with the gorgeous screen make a truly delightful machine. Other main downside is battery life. Not an issue for me as I never expected we it to be all that great to begin with Highly recommend a purchase if you are in the market for a handheld pc and can play near an outlet.

Interesting Device!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing screen and versatility! Should be much better later on when the software improves. The hardware itself is quite good. I like the the kickstand and the liteness of the controllers. I had a lot of difficulty with my original unit when attaching the right controller. I got a replacement unit and both controllers attach and detach without issue. It is taking time to get used to compared to the other smaller handhelds. Overall I do like it quite a lot and am excited to see what they do for future software/bios updates.

Excelent for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think i made the best choice. Although, i wish it had more space but overall it runs many games pretty well. It easily runs minecraft with like shaders and stuff really well and also runs cyberpunk and forza horizon 4&5 pretty well.

Great performance. Glad I got the 1TB version
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is even better than I thought it would be. Originally it was supposed to be my mobile Witcher 3 machine. And Witcher 3 performs great on it. I love the screen and performance so much that I installed my productivity apps, and now I have a mobile device for work too. I’m pretty sure my present desktop pc is my last one. With a docking station, I could easily use this as my main PC.

Excellent product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great specs for the money, though I wish 32GB of RAM was optional as you can change the amount of VRAM the iGPU can use in the BIOS. The options are 3,4,6, and 8GB. With anymore than 4 selected, there's really not enough memory left for Windows and the CPU to use. That said, 4 is enough for most of my applications, overwhelmingly which are JRPGs which don't require lots of memory. Also I keep the screen refresh rate at 60 to help with battery power, which, for what it is, isn't too bad. I leave the power settings on my Go at Balanced which works for my uses. The screen looks great as far as my limited experience goes. It'll do up to 144Hz, but I just leave it at 60. Working with Windows 11 on a handheld device in which the interface is primarily touch screen is often clunky but it works. Sound is also crisp and legible as well. As for expansion, I'd really recommend going with an external SSD instead of relying on slow SD cards. At best, SD cards read at roughly the same rate as a spinning platter HDD. I love the 8.8" screen as my vision isn't the greatest so that's also a great help to me. There are other options out there for portable gaming PCs such as the Steam Deck, ASUS Ally, and the upcoming MSi Claw. I still believe this is the best of the lot, but everyone has different opinions. For 700 dollars for the 512GB model, I think it's a lot of performance at a great price point. Also, be advised, the screen is portrait orientated, so not every game will display correctly. I try to play Tales of Symphonia and the screen flips upside down when I try to load it. As of this writing, as far as I can tell, there's been no fix issued by anyone.

A portable beast for gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was apprehensive about buying a handheld that is so large and one that is about to be replaced shortly. I couldn't be happier with getting it. I got it on sale, which was a great deal. The updates aren't always quick to roll out but the community has these running games that look incredible. Yes its bigger, but I don't find it uncomfortable at all. Much easier to hold for longer periods than my Switch 1.

Great Device, Almost Excellent
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent performance as a Steam device along with anything else Windows can do. Can be a replacement laptop with a keyboard and mouse and it's a great way to mix productivity with handheld gaming. You can add additional storage via SD and do all kinds of mods on the OS level with booting into Linux (which I haven't done) for the sake of performance. I think the device is really a 4.5/5 with a 3/5 controller. The buttons, sticks, and touchpad are great, it is the sharp edge on the bottom of the controller. You can lie down on a bed and play OEM Switch and Steam Deck controllers, you will hurt your hands with the Legion Go. That said, go on Etsy and look for ComfortGrips. With that the controllers are a 4.5. You have to cram the new form factor into the provided case, but it's not that big of a deal. You do lose the ability to use the little trap door for charging in the case, and that may or may not matter to you. Very worthwhile purchase.

Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned the 1TB Legion for about a month now and I am incredibly happy with it. I was debating between this and the Asus ROG, but I ultimately went with the Legion for the added storage, large screen size, and future potential as it is a newer device. So far I'm blown away by it's capabilities and haven't touched a console since I bought it. My only regret is not purchasing one sooner.

A great handheld often available at a good price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the Steam Deck more but this is a great handheld. The screen is wonderfully large and vibrant. Games run very well and look fantastic. While I prefer Steam OS, some games that won't run on it will run great on the Legion Go.

Works well as a desktop and handheld.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this as Microsoft is going to stop supporting Windows on my Intel Mac Mini. The built quality this unit is excellent and reminds me the IBM ThinkPad I used years ago. This little one is a lot more powerful than my Mac Mini, but at much lower power consumption and also portable. It works with everything I attached to my Mac Mini, including my RX 5700 XT as an eGPU. I wish Lenovo will allow setting the amount VRAM much lower so that I can have more RAM to run Star Citizen while using my eGPU.

Some drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery life is terrible for most of the games I play but at least it can run them. I sometimes have to stay plugged in for longer gamming sessions which suck with their flimsy usb-c adapters. I wish this came with a docking station or something comparable for longer gaming sessions. Also the thumbpads come off and are easy to lose and hard to replace.
