Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to go with the Lenovo Legion Go because I wanted a PC that was just as portable as it is powerful..... basically it's a gaming laptop that fits in the palm of your hand. With a couple of peripherals and a larger monitor to plug into you now have a desktop PC to use. Although I play a game or two (in which for those who like it comes with 3 months of Xbox game pass) I mainly use it for my college work and work from home job. No more of a hassle carrying it on a plane or otherwise- it's the perfect space saver (and not as heavy as a laptop either. Basically imagine a PC the size of an 8 inch tablet!

It plays everything I throw at it and it's even better if using it with game pass as the PC games are free. The games seem to auto optimize when downloading from game pass so that's a additional bonus. Coming from a ally that had issues with the sd card it's nice to actually be able to use the one in the legion for additional space. I mainly use the sd for older or retro games and keep the AAA on the internal for faster loading.

We wish to provide the best experience possible, so if you'd like to work with us, we’d like to work with you to address these points and improve your experience with your Legion Go. We also wish to learn more details about your time with your Go to gain a further understanding of the various points you mentioned.
First, with heat production, when gaming, the internal heat can increase as the system processes more data and at a higher frequency, but the Legion Go's cooling system should help protect the device from excessive heat.
With the fan speeds increasing along with the stress the handheld is under, this can cause battery level to drop quickly. If the system is using the latest AMD chipset and driver versions, another thing you can do to improve battery life is depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery.
In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).

I enjoy that the controllers are versatile and additional accessories allow you to use them however you want. The screen is big but its also great quality. After doing all the updates and Lenovo just revamped their app, its been a pleasure to use. The weight is hefty but the kickstand tends to help alot with weight balance. It does run loud and hot but you have a tiny gaming computer in your hand. Good luck with your purchase, I would do

Then the ROG Ally and now this lenovo legion go hand held. I gotta say all were great. the RG allies definitely step up above the steam deck. Obviously. I would say a pretty big step too. But this kicks it up and not higher. I absolutely love the larger screen!!! It runs Starfield with no problem, Cyberpunk2077, and Elden ring. You know I can plant. I have so far only one real problem and Lenovo's working on. Is the FPS counter does not work. No big deal considering I downloaded MSI Afterburner and HWINFO. I can't wait to see a faster chip in these hand held. But for now, this thing is awesome!!!!

My wife hates them because I used to go sit in the game room and play. But now with the legion go I can take the game to where she is. So instead of hearing her complain about me playing video games in the other room. Now I get to sit in the room next to her and have her complain about me playing video games. But it was nice and fun, just didn't like the having to do updates 3 different places. It's a nice unit. Better than the Asus z1 I had which I also sold. More of a console player I realized.
