You do however have to do your research so you know what to expect. This will not max out games, not even close. You can however tinker with games settings to find something that works for you. Can play any AAA game that I’ve tried so far.

It’s handling the games I can play on it without issues. Sometimes I need to make changes to some settings such as video output but that’s mostly due to the fact I’m playing older games. Something I’m not a fan of is that the charger doesn’t fit into the case it comes with. It’s a flaw in my opinion but third party cases are available. Battery life is as expected. It lasts a decent amount of time to play certain games. I did buy a third party cover for the main unit (the side controllers are removable) and it fits well. Also purchased a screen protector.

However, potential is there with future firmware and software updates. Great alternative to either the Valve Steam Deck, or ROG Ally. Greatest strength is the detatchable right controller for FPS mode. Again, resolution and frame rates are rough at the moment.

Its speakers arent the best, but to make up for that, it has 2 USB C ports that way you can plug a wireless adapter from your gaming headset or the 3.5mm audio jack.

Amazing handheld PC

Having a handheld PC to game on gives me the opportunity to game more. I have twin 5yr boys and a wife that take up my tv’s so have no opportunity to game on them. This device works great and I have been able to catch up on my game library.

I traded my Steam Deck for the Legion Go and have no regrets. I know there are benefits to Steam OS but #screensizematters. I actually play the Legion Go more than I play my Desktop (3080Ti).

Subpar performance

Honestly thought the pricing wouldn't matter and seen specs on YouTube how these two performed the same but upon further testing my Legion Go experience was horrible! 1. Games were really struggling and after messing with the BIOs and even using max or auto setting I was still getting horrible performance. 2. The 2 USB C ports were only usable 1 at a time and sometimes not at all. 3. Legion Space looked nice but kept crashing the PC due to a menu error?! It was a mess to try and fix. 4. Too many settings to adjust to get subpar performance. I don't know if I was just unlucky but I bought a used one and returned it then bought a new one thinking everything would be good but still had bad experience.
