To help resolve the voice recognition and quality issues, ensure your Echo Show 8 has a strong and stable Wi-Fi connection, as connectivity problems can significantly impact voice recognition accuracy and overall performance. Restart your device by unplugging it from power, waiting 30 seconds, then plugging it back in to clear temporary glitches. Check that your device has the latest software updates by going to Settings, Device Options, and System Updates, as outdated firmware can cause voice recognition and performance problems. Make sure the microphones aren't obstructed or covered and that there's no excessive background noise interfering with voice detection—you can test the microphones by going to Settings, Device Options, and selecting Check Microphones. Yes, it does a few good things but I wish I returned this while I could. It's a constant irritating (Z(*$_@+ ad screen for Amazon products, which I should have considered before purchasing. My mistake. Don't make it yours.

I used to be a fan of Alexa (have some other devices), but the newest Echo 8 I just bought from Best Buy I returned as complete JUNK. I'm an engineer very adept at using computers and all sorts of devices but I waisted way too much time trying to get the echo 8 set up as it would never connect to my phone app, the screen doesnt recognize what you're tapping on it too often, & no decent customer support. I really wanted to love this device but do NOT buy until Alexa confirms they have fixed these problems.
