Disappointing, Frustrating Experience with Bestbuy

For nearly three weeks, the order status remained “delayed” without any proactive update from BestBuy. I reached out via chat twice, and both agents confirmed that if the laptop wasn’t shipped, I could cancel the order and receive a refund. Trusting this, I waited. Then on June 23rd, to my shock, the status on BestBuy’s website suddenly showed that the laptop had been “delivered” back on June 4th, with a return window that had already expired on June 21st — two days before the status was even updated. The payment was also charged only on June 23rd, after the supposed delivery and return period had both passed. Because of this misinformation and delay, my cousin — who was supposed to bring the laptop to India — left the US without it. I now have no way of accessing or using the laptop, making it completely useless to me. I tried escalating through every available channel — customer support chats, phone calls, even a store visit — but was repeatedly told that since the return window had closed, nothing could be done. The only offer made was store credit, which is of no value to me as I live in India and cannot use it. This entire experience has been marked by misleading communication, indifference, and a complete lack of accountability. I feel utterly helpless and wronged. I placed my trust in BestBuy, followed every instruction, and still ended up suffering both financially and emotionally — with no resolution. For international buyers in particular: if anything goes wrong, don’t expect help. You will be on your own.

Terrible CPU. Get a Dell.

Had to return computer.

I was afraid they shut off button would wear out. Wanted to keep my computer for 2 weeks to fix, but I just bought is a few months before and was able to get another computer after turning this one in. The manager, George, really helped me with this problem. Thank you

Almost percect, just misses the mark
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked up the Yoga 9i at a killer deal over the weekend and on paper it checked all the boxes (thin, light, beautiful screen, grrat battery life and touch screen/pen). Design: What can I say, the laptop is pretty close to perfect from a design standpoint. The all aluminum chassis in the gorgeous blue matte finish is a sight to behold. Build quality: Nothing about the construction or material of this laptop feel cheap, this is nearing Apple level of fit and finish. Keyboard/Trackpad: The keyboard is one of the best I have ever used with perfect key travel and a satisfying clickiness. The glass frosted trackpad is responsive to all gestures and the diveboard style doesnt feel cheap. The only that could have made it better would be if it were a haptic trackpad. Display: It's a 120hz OLED display that gets plenty bright for nearly any situation you might fin yourself. But the screen is ultra-glossy and theas Ive seen reported by some texh-tuber snd general users , the 2.8k variant suffers from screen door effect. The shows up as cross hatching on the screen especially the brightness is raised, which make it.more obvious. Battery: Since this isnt a gaming laptop normal daily usage I managed around 8 hours basic task (Google docs, google chrome and Youtube). It comes with a canvas and faux leather tote that allows for a degree of protection and place for the carpenter style pen. I am no computer artist ny any stretch, but is very responsive. This lead to a point I had above with the screen door effect being most obvious. Those are only a few opinions around a week's usage. To some this would be the perfect all around laptop, but in my use case the overly glossy screen cross hatching due to the touch layer.

Good with downsides
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.pros: good screen cheaper than alternatives (discount only) good performance pen, tablet mode work well smooth 120hz, thin bezel design looks good pen, cover bag included cons: laggy sometimes especially after boosting up pen doesn't work first few days hot when under load fan sometimes on even doing nothing 80% battery wont last 4h (truly terrible) minor bugs in tablet mode verdict: if you can find this new with discount and dont mind the fan and heat, this is good laptop for college/work/light gaming

Regarding these buggy and functionality issues, to try to resolve this, first, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button. If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem, which we then recommend contacting Lenovo Support for further assistance. Also with battery life, by default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Users can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words. Also, the system fans can turn on randomly when background tasks like Windows Security background scans and other system processes may be occurring, causing a sudden workload spike for the processor, enabling higher fan speeds to help keep it cool.
