This is within 6 months of purchase and minimal use with care. Worse quality than cheap toy. What is point of having all great speed, memory, display and battery if laptop body is broken?

I asked Dell for replacement and they agreed, but then they said because it is open box, they won't replace it, only I can send it to repair that will take few weeks and I need the laptop to work. Best Buy never said that because it is open box, there is limited or other type of warrantly. I am out of the country for vacation and when I'm back my return period is over. So I'm stuck.
