Apps open instantly, multitasking is smooth, and there's no lag at all, even when my son switches rapidly between educational apps, drawing programs, and games. It feels powerful and snappy — just like the high-end Apple devices I use for work. Display & Build: The 10.9” Liquid Retina display is stunning — bright, crisp, and incredibly responsive. My son uses it for everything from reading interactive books to watching science videos. The screen quality actually encourages him to spend more time learning than just playing games. The build quality feels premium, but not too heavy for a child to handle comfortably. Kid-Friendliness: We paired it with a rugged kid-friendly case and Apple Pencil, and it has become his go-to for learning to draw, practice math, and read independently. Parental controls are easy to configure through Screen Time, and I love being able to monitor his usage and restrict content. Battery Life: Battery life has been excellent — it easily lasts him all day with mixed use. The 11-inch screen is big enough to enjoy but not too bulky, and 128GB of storage means I wouldn’t have to constantly delete things to make space. What really stands out is the speed and how smooth everything runs. Being able to switch between apps without lag, take notes, and still have room for creativity with photos or designs makes it feel like more than just a tablet—it’s something I could use every single day for both work and fun. Winning this iPad would mean more than just having the newest device. It would make my daily routine easier, keep me organized, and give me a better way to stay creative and connected.

With the new version of iOS, features like windowing make the iPad a little more like MacOS, and this iPad also gets these features. The screen is clear and bright and the iPad is very responsive. The USB-C port can be used to connect to an external display. The one disadvantage this iPad has over higher models is that the external display will only be mirrored, not extended, so you can not have two different displays when connected. The iPad works with the first gen Apple Pencil, as well as the USB-C model. If using the first gen version, you will either need a USB-C to Lightening connector to charge the pencil through the iPad (or other USB charging source), or you will need another source to charge it (such as a multi-device charging station. The pencil will not include some of Apple's newest features such as the hover capability, but it otherwise will work as it would with any older model of iPad. Overall, the iPad is lightweight and makes a good portable device. I find this model of iPad too big for certain functions, such as an e-reader, and much prefer the iPad Mini for this purpose. However, the larger size is much better for reading magazines, Web browsing works a lot better on a larger device such as this one as web pages tend to have better layouts than smaller devices. I spend time doing video training and demonstrations for both professional and personal activities, and there are some studies such as programming that work well for this because I can play the video on one side and have my programming application on the other. I also use Affinity Photo and Designer, and the experience on a larger iPad is much better. The performance overall is very good with these apps. I know it would be slightly better with a higher level device such as the iPad Pro, but I don't think the price difference is justified by the slight performance boost. Overall, especially on a sale price, this iPad is one of the best values you can get when purchasing a tablet. If you need a device for nothing more than basic computing functions (email, web browsing, social media, general productivity like word processing, and maybe a little creative work, this can be a better value than most computers, especially when paired with a keyboard and mouse, which can be done with Bluetooth. It's a well-rounded and sufficient device for so many tasks, it would be hard not too recommend it!
