I love this thing! Honestly I use it so much at this point. It can run everything from Elden Ring to Cyberpunk and Madden. I love the screen so much. I do wish the speakers were better but it has Bluetooth so connect to a headset or speaker system and you are good to go, but honestly they are still good.

Incredibly powerful, improved design, and better battery life. Ever since I purchased this I havent been able to put it down. I owned the Ally z1 extreme before this and it's a noticeable upgrade in almost every category.

Battery life and ram make a world of difference. Windows is finicky but everything runs on this thing.

I am able to play all my games on the go. No other controller is necessary as with a gaming laptop. Being able to change frame rates, desktop to game pad mode is great. There is a lot of storage so I can play larger games like Genshin Impact, ZZZ, Wuthering Waves. All the free to play gatchas run smooth and no issues. It docks neatly to the TV via adapter. The battery life is about 4-6 hours depending on the game. Definitely an upgrade from the steamdeck.

The graphics are wonderful during game play. The battery lasts a long time. It stays connected to my xbox and the remote play is excellent. All the specs are better than stated! I love that the sticks change color during play, and while charging!

The device is great and all without a doubt its portable and very useful for gaming on cloud or a portable desktop when you have an adapter. I recently purchased it to have for gaming and travel. This Ally X stands to it’s promise of battery life of 4 hours without change and no lag even with Race-Tracing on this its beast with a E-GPU. I loved it real bad but few days later i had issue with the data read on my storage kept saying something about storage full. I couldve fixed it but its $900 device and i cant risk my fault from damaging it. But it is worth buying if you dont get a faulty one like i had. Which it couldve just been someone else when. I bought it used. Though BestBuy does look through it and fixes it. I just couldnt ill wait till every it good up-coming years. Keep up the great work BestBuy.

Asus listened to its consumers and fixed everything that was a pain with the Rog Ally gen1. This this is the king of gaming handheld PCs, with performance, size, ergonomics and hardware quality. Everything feels crisper and cleaner on the X coming from the gen1 Ally. Not to mention the doubled battery life is the cherry on top. Bring the price down $100 or more and it's a go every day of the week.

This thing is a beast. It’s like carrying a mini gaming PC in your hand. The screen is bright, the 120Hz refresh rate is super smooth, and it runs most games way better than expected. Great for on-the-go gaming or just lounging around without being stuck to a desk.

I LOVE MY HANDHELD ITS A GREAD DEVICE ON THE GO AND RUNS ANY GAME I PLAY SMOOTLY

Ditched my desktop to run this with my RTX 4090 in a USB4 dock. Noting I 'downgraded' from a 7950x3D direct-die cooled with enough of an undervolt to sustain 5.25GHz while gaming. The latency issues I first experienced with Thunderbolt eGPUs back in 2016 doesn't appear to be a problem now. When docked, the CPU will make use of the full 30W and maintain 4.2-4.3GHz. Its effectively on part in gaming experience to a TDP limited R7 7700. I keep the VRAM setting in AUTO, which isn't a problem if you're not keeping an insane amount of background applications open to eat system RAM. It otherwise just makes a certain amount of RAM unusable if using an eGPU. Handheld performance is much better than my Steam Deck OLED. The 7" 1080p screen is noticeably better than the 7.4" 800p screen, the performance being on par. Battery life seems on par if not better. The default 17W profile is plenty, and Asus definitely tuned these profiles better than the first ROG Ally. Some people might fret the pricing, but considering its about the same cost of an R7 7700 desktop platform (minus the PSU and dGPU) while also being a handheld makes it a more economical option for someone who is interested in a desktop and handheld.

Works great. It's amazing and plays a lot of triple-a games. I have loved my ally.

Heavier than a switch but plays a variety of games well, works well for those with an Xbox Gamepass subscription as well given the access to the library of games.

Very cool system, you can hook it up to your tv and play it like a regular console, or use it to power a desk setup with keyboard & mouse. Very convenient for being able to play games anywhere you desire. 10/10 would recommend, it’s also fairly easy to use if you are somewhat technologically inclined. If you can use a windows pc then you will have no problem using this. Also you can use AirPods with it and any controller you desire.

I have had this for a few weeks and have zero complaints! I never realized how much I would enjoy a handheld and now I can’t put it down!

The ROG Ally X is an excellent product, very solid in terms of performance and build quality, which justifies my 5-star rating. However, I believe the screen design could be improved. The black bezels are a bit wide and could be optimized to make better use of the display space, especially considering the large battery, which provides extended usage time without compromising the device's ergonomics.

Have a steam deck and the rog ally x, im going for this more now for the ease of all the other launchers. Plays tripple A games and battery life is greatly improved over the original. Great handheld

Love it, the best I wanted to upgrade from a laptop to something more portable, even though the pricing is steep in my opinion it's completely worth it because you can bring it anywhere and also play almost any games and so far I haven't had any games issues would recommend. The 1 TB is also great but I upgraded to a 4 TB instead
